03-8-2009 - MOVING again!!!

My mood while writing this blog: excited but not looking forward to moving

Okay a little background..........i married my husband in December, at the time i was living in a small two bedroom apt with just me and my at the time 3 year old son.......he was living with his parents and had been since his divorce. Well when we got married i went from a family of two, to a family of 5 ( he has two children from a previous relationship that we see every other weekend, and whenever else possible) so living in that apartment was no longer an option.........we talked about buying but thought we would really like to continue to rent and save and buy in a few years when we could afford what we WANTED, right off the bat. with the economy in the crapper we didnt want to BUY something we would want to turn around and sell in a few years. We were also living in a BIG city with crappy school and i wanted to get back to a smaller city before my son started school.................So we moved

found a 3 bedroom apartment in my hometown( which was also where his children lived) apartment was big and when we went and looked at it we were told new carpet would be put in and new tile in the kitchen, They were older and those two things DEFINITLY needed replaced but it was big and would serve our purposes even with the new addition on its way! Well when we moved in, NOTHING was replaced but since we were there we had no choice but to move in, the landlord proceeded to tell me that the owners wouldnt approve her to replace it. well anyway i bought some rugs and was trying to make due. well within the 6 mo that we have lived there, our furnace broke and had to be replaced, and it took them 5 days to fix, our bathtub cracked and go a huge hole in it that took them almost a MONTH, then our air conditioner had to be replaced, after not working for 2 weeks, and a few other random things that broke down..........all in all it was getting to be a bit much. and with the baby coming i just felt like i could never get the house CLEAN enough regardless of how i scrubbed it. So i found somewhere else, in the next town over....still a small town, still 3 bedrooms. but this one has its own Laundry in the unit(huge when we are bringing home a baby in the next couple of weeks) and an attached garage( huge for a husband that needs his own domain LOL) so off we go and we will be moving Sept 1, which at that point gives us a month before baby shows up.....and thats if i go to my due date! needless to say its gonna be a busy month so wish me luck!
