15-12-2009 - Bedrest Continued

My mood while writing this blog: Still bummed

Went to the DR yseterday and was hopeful, maybe, they would let me get a desk job of some sort so as not to be on my feet, but still working, but NOOOO! Disappointing. I filed for unemployment, and so far, it looks as though I may get it but still wont know for another two weeks or so. I am going back in a week for another ultrasound and a fetal (something) test (where they swab your cervix to determine if you are at risk for preterm birth). My midwife, who I love, and was my midwife with my 10 year old is retiring on top of it all and yesterday was our last appointment together. I trust her so much and it will be difficult to build that with someone else at this point. I got all emotional and cried! Pregnant women---sheeesh! Anyhow, she wants to put me on steroids at 28 weeks to try to prevent the preterm labor and to ensure little Michael's lungs will be developed enough if he does come early. I already take so many pills everyday, I dont want another one, but I will do it if they feel it is necessary. Oh well, enough complaining....Hope everyones Christmas and pregnancies are going along well!
