20-1-2010 - Hospital visit again

My mood while writing this blog: Ok

Well, Sunday evening I was in the hospital again....BLAH!!!! I started having contractions, very painful ones, about 3 minutes apart, so my Dr. told me to go in. I was dilated a cm but not much effacement. They gave me a shot of Brethene to try to stop the contractions, but it didnt work and gave my baby some tremors, so the Dr. decided to give me the steroid shots and procardia. He did another fetal fibronectin, which was negative---Hoooray! Just means that I have less than a 2% chance of giving birth in the next 2 weeks..:) The procardia slowed the contractions and did help relieve the intensity, so he let me come home with a script for the procardia. So now the grand total of pills I take daily is 10! I feel like some kind of druggie! As long as it helps me to have a healthy little boy, I will suffer through it! Anyhow, I got my taxes back and have gotten all my baby stuff minus some botttles, breast pump, and recieving blankets, which I figure people will probably give to me anyway. I am excited for him to get here, but really hope he can wait til at least, 32 weeks. Wish me luck all! Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying what should be a beautiful time in your lives!
