Well, wow! I gave birth yesterday on 3/6/10. His name is Micheal Reginald and he is 5lbs, 7.6oz, and 19 inches long. My water broke at home at 10:10 am and he was born at 1:53pm. I almost had to have an emergency C section because he was in distress and his heart rate dropped down into the 50's. I was scared to death, but he came out of it and I had an epidural after suffering until around 12 pm when the midwife said I was only dilated 4-5cm and could be in labor for another few hours. As soon as the anesthesiologist finished the epidural, they checked me and I was already 8 cm! I delivered him shortly thereafter and it didnt hurt at all! I should have gotten the epidural way sooner! He had a few breathing issues for the first few hours, but nothing severe enough to put him in the NICU. I was nursing him by 7:10 and he came home today! I am so happy!
