| 07-8-2008 - Like Whoa! | My mood while writing this blog:Ok |
Hubby and I went for my ob appt today. We told ob that the sonogram results of the placenta previa has not migrated...therefore we are scheduled for a cesearean. She told us we have to get an amniocentesis two days before the scheduled c-section to determine the maturity of the baby's lungs. She also told me since Ive been having high blood pressure every time I come here for my appts..so now she wants me to get a 24 hour urine sample. I thought to myself..I have to pee in this big orange container AT WORK ???? I have to store that big orange container full of my urine in my job's breakroom mini refrigerator??? I know it won't fit plus that's kinda gross to have your colleague's piss in the fridge. Since I am still recuperating from this URTI, I get to stay home and pee all day long without the embarrassment or the inconvenience.
I am still fighting this cold while beating the heat during this summer. Getting sick during pregnancy is not fun at all. I get tired easily too. I believe I sleep every two hours and stay away for two or three hours but I'm just resting and reading up on c-sections or on breastfeeding.
Now that I know my little baby will be premature, I have to really read up and prepare in a few weeks. Instead of expecting my baby to be born on SEPT 16..she will arrive AUG 20. We are still not prepared--baby wise!! We have no crib or carseat yet. Our studio apartment is a mess--we are waiting for delivery on baby's dresser drawers. I got rid of five big bag full of old clothes and other junk to make room in our closet. It's funny how this baby's arrival can make one more organized.
I know God has brought me challenges on top of challenges..even when I am still working on one,..He still manages to "surprise" us with another big challenge. But I know He can only give us what we can handle.
On top of this week's challenges, my husband's job suspended him WITHOUT PAY for 30 days!!
It was so stupid too but in a way, it was a blessing in disguise, because my hubby can stay home with me this month to prepare for the baby and to take care of me.
