10-2-2009 - need advice!!! asap!!!

My mood while writing this blog:
beyond lost

alright so i decided a few months ago that i want to get my tubes tied....im an idiot for waiting so long to look into though...im 100% sure this is what i want...many reasons *i dont want kids after 30..i dont want to carry anymore children...and i cant afford to have anymore <this is the biggest one> among other things* anyways...this past week ive actually been looking into it and i saw a video of the surgery they do if you dont have a cesarean...i was literally so grossed out *and it takes a lot to do that to me* i had to stop the video...now that im past the gross part im having the hardest time deciding whether or not to have it done after a cesarean delivery or after a vaginal birth...the difference being that if i have a cesarean it'll be done right away...ill have to wait 2 wks if i do vag. birth...now i assumed that either way it would be done the same day no matter how i had him but now im finding out different and i hate surgery...dont want surgery but if i have to have surgery i might as well get it done all at once then right?!?!? well im conflicted b/c the last time i had a cesarean i felt like i had failed bc i didnt push her out and i really wanted to try a vbac...but now i have this surgery thing and its changing everything...this is like one of those times when i just dont want to make the decision...ive made the decision to have it done period but now i have to make another decision...either way it'll be surgical...so which way to go...

i really hope you guys understand my ramblings...im having a hard time anymore getting my words to form...sorry

That is though call... I suggest you to think about it very very very much.... You can always try other methods that are very efficient too and maybe later on if you really do not change your mind, then opt for a ligation... In my case, when I was 22, I did not want to bear children, neither my DH (who is 12 years my senior)... we wanted to adopt and have a big family... Then for many many reasons and after 8 years, we change our minds and just happened and we are totally in love with having our little girl... So, in my case I am so happy that I gave time to time... :-D ... Wish you lots of wisdom and happy thoughts so you can make the best decision for you and your family, xoxo

I am gonna go with an IUD .... maybe you should do something like this to give yourself more time to think. No one can really give you the answers to this.... it is just to personal a decision to make.

just out of curiosity, have you considered the copper iud? its good for ten years and its hormone free. I had one if you have any questions on it. Its way better then surgery, and heck 10 years is a long time.

wow ur soo young to make a decision like that tho...u arent going to be the same person in the next 5-10 years...but if i had to choose i think it would be easier to just get the cesarean so that they can tie 'em right away! and in no way at all does that make you a failure....just cuz u dont "push" a baby out doesnt mean u fail besides u carried and cared for the baby for a full 9 months which in no way makes a mother a "failure" cuz of the way she gave birth...i hope u make the best decision:)
