29-9-2008 - Okay, I'm over it!!!!!!

So, we had another issue w/ a DIFFERENT bedding.. lol.. uggghh... We ordered it and a week later they tell us they don't have it. I have people coming in to install new carpet Wednesday and wanted to paint before then.. But, I needed to match the paint. I've been soooooo stressed about it... I didn't want to get paint on the new carpet, ya know. And, this is the second time this has happened. Well, we have an order put in w/ another company and it's still pending. (there are still a few of the bedding sets left in the warehouse) So, I tried to contact the company to ask why still pending ALL day yesterday w/ no answer or return call. Soooo, we're going to give it until today and if they don't take our call all hell is going to break lose because they already took the money out. It's the shipment that's pending. Well, I've been on the edge of craziness.. I mean all of this b/s for some damn bedding. So, I just went and bought some freakin paint. It's not going to match, but whatever. It's not worth me getting so stressed and stressing my little Lynlee. I just wanted her to have a great room. And, I know it still will be.. I'm just going to paint today, start getting things in order and if we get the bedding we do, if we don't we don't and move on to find something at dad gum target. It doesn't all have to perfectly match anyway no matter how bad I wanted it to. All I know is I WILL NOT order bedding from the internet EVER again.

Ok now I just have to know your colors. I had such a hard time matching mine. All I got done was the painting before I left. I am doing an asian inspired Cherry Blossom Room. My walls ended up a green called aloe vera. Guess I will have to wait till next year to see it all come together, :(

Target has wonderful, cute Shabby Chic bedding for girls! Man, if I were you Amanda, I'd call them up and go completely pregnant on them!! Make them give you a discount if they are going to send it. :)

I can't believe you are having such bad luck with the bedding! That is crazy. Coming from an artist and designer - It doesn't have to match perfectly because you can have different hues of a color and it will still blend in good in the whole scheme of things. I had my walls painted a creamy yellow when I moved in and made that room the guest room and decorated it, then a year later I got pregnant so I had to incorporate it into the bedding, etc. and added some more colors and it turned out good. And just think once Lynlee grows out of her baby bed (which will be faster than you can imagine) you will be doing the room over again - I had to with Micah :) Take a deep breath...or, like me, go get a wonderful pregnancy massage at a spa! I did that yesterday and today is wonderful!!! Hugs!

I'm so sorry to hear all that...but just relax and take a deep breath. What I ended up doing is painting Jaida's room two different shades of pink (one light and one a little darker), that way I can pretty much match it with any girl bedding set since I registered for more than one. Maybe that would be a good idea for you since you're having so much trouble with getting the bedding. But don't stress out, the room will come out perfect...you'll see. :-)

awh so sorry! I know the frustration! They did this with our nursery dresser! We went to pick everything up ans all they had was the crib and hutch...but said dresser was pending! a month alter we got it. Urg! People don't understand when a pregnant mama asks for something...you give it to her right then!
