14-12-2008 - If you want something done right, do it yourself

My mood while writing this blog:
sore, pissed

Since I have been pregnant, my husband has been mopping the kitchen floor. Well, he's done a crappy job the ENTIRE TIME. I've just watched the dirt pile up and pile up. It's basically just been getting dirtier and dirtier since the first of May. He will tell me it's done, I look at it and seriously there is still dirt everywhere!!! I've been embarrassed for people to see it. Well, since it's getting close to the end of the pregnancy I thought he would do a really good job on the floor. He of course DIDN'T!!!!!!!!!!!!! He tried to friggin tell me it was all stains and it wasn't coming up.... OMG!!!! I've been cleaning that floor for 5 years. I know where there are stains and I know what will come up. I finally told him I was just gonna do it myslef, I'm not living like that. I had to get on my hands and knees b/c he's let it pile up for so long. AND SURE ENOUGH THE SO CALLED "STAINS" WERE COMING RIGHT UP!!! He was like "oh" "I didn't know". MORON!!!! He thinks you can just take a sponge mop and slide it easily on the floor and it's gonna clean it... I've been cleaning on my hands and knees for 30 minutes. I'm hurting sooooo bad.... That idiot was trying to tell me not to, but my God it's not going to get done if I don't. Enough is enough!!!!!!! He was trying to do it too.. But, guess what..... He has to be at work in a few minutes.... sooooooooooo either I do it now or wait on him to do it tomorrow!!!!!! I'm honestly hurting too damn bad to do anything else right now, I'll have to get to it later if I can at all.. Now all the furniture in there is sitting around in my living room and I REALLY NEEDED to swiffer and crap in here today... I could just kill him. He's always doing shit like this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

watch your blood pressure gurl! you sound like you let him piss you off bad this time. I usually just bitch and bitch till it gets done. If that doesn't work....I bust out the tears. lol...works everytime! If you're not the crying type, blame it on the hormones. a few tears go a long way (I love being a gurl)

i feel your pain, when my bf actually "helps" around the house he does a half-ass job so i end up redoing it and it causes a fight so i just quit asking... although i've found that the more pissed i am the cleaner my house gets, lol.

lol..this reminds me of my fiance. Exact reason why I clean the bathroom and not him. Everyone thinks I'm crazy but my god I refuse to have a dirty bathroom. Make sure you reward yourself afterwards.

I can totally relate! We had family over the weekend before last and I cleaned the whole house excpet for the shower which I asked him to do. I gave him ONE duty and I didnt check it before family came over like I should have. Well they get there and my mom used the restroom and what is the first thing she says to me? "I have some Tilex in my car if you want to borrow it" Seriously, if you want something done right you have to do it yourself! MEN! lol

That is so "WOMEN"...we complain that they don't help us but when they do they just end up creating more work for us because we end up having to do it again the right way...or should i say "OUR WAY"!!! I totally understand where you're coming from.

HA. You are so right. Somtimes I ask my hub to do just a few things, and he will ask me like 10 times how to do it!!! Thank god i have a housekeeper every 2 weeks because i cant do it all and there is no way that my hub will do a good job!

girl you are not alone. I've been waiting on my shower to be scrubbed for MONTHS! Today he says he's doing it. He also says he's putting the baby seats in the car. He's been cleaning out his car for like 2 hours. We have church at 6 so I would be crazy to believe that he's going to do the seats and shower before then. MEN!!!

Ok, girl, sounds like you are nesting. I am going through the same thing wth my hubby....nothing is done right or FAST ENOUGH. I have been waiting ALL DAY for him to do the kitchen, I would do it, but HE trashed it. Needless to say, Titans are playing, so nothing is done.
