30-6-2008 - Baby Shower

My mood while writing this blog: Tired but Happy

Well the baby shower was on Saturday, it was very nice. We got a a little bit of everything, the registry was not used too much - only 3 items were purchased off of it. We did however get some cash and a gift card so we went shopping yesterday. Some of the items that we did not get - which surprised me- were a diaper bag, stroller, car seat and a swing. So with the cash we bought those items plus a bottle sterilizer, a swaddler, burp clothes, diaper genie and refill, a crib mobile and a couple other littles odds and ends. If you were to come right now- we would be ready for you. When we got home from shopping I must have gotten a burst of energy because I put your stroller together, swing together, put the mobile together and on the crib, put all your books on the book shelves, put away over 600 diapers and 700+ wipes and put all your clothes together in a pile to be washed. I just have to get the special detergent for them, once they are wash and dried away they will go in your drawers. Ahhhhhhhhh, maybe things will be okay when you come after all, but I am sure that I am still going to stress about money. Maybe I will get a couple gift cards from the people I work with that will help cushion the blow.

Congrats on your shower, so glad it went well. About baby detergent, save yourself money and stay away from Dreft, buy Baby All instead. For the same amount of liquid you can save $4 on Baby All. I do use the Dreft spray for removing stains, but that's about it. Good luck!
