Using Herbs
  • Fenugreek: Fenugreek has been used for centuries to increase the flow of milk.
  • Fennel seed: You can use the seeds of fennel or any of its close relatives (anise, cumin, caraway, coriander, and dill) to boost your milk supply.
  • Blessed thistle: You can get this in capsules or as a tea. It's supposed to work by stimulating the flow of blood to the mammary glands.
  • Alfalfa: Alfalfa in a good one: it should help bring your milk in and is a good source of vitamin D.
  • Chamomile: Chamomile flower is considered safe by the FDA. It's easy to find as a tea, and is relaxing.

Using Doctor Prescribed Drugs
Some doctors will now proscribe the drug Domperidone to boost your milk supply.

Some Obvious (but Difficult to Do) Ways to Increase Supply
  • Get some extra rest
  • Drink more water
  • Bring the baby to bed with you and let him nurse to his heart's content.
