Finally we had our ever anticipated NT scan. I was confident there would be no health concerns, both my mother and his delivered very healthy babies at 42, and I'm only 36, a young 36 at that, if I do say so myself. That being said, my main objective was too see the baby, and to get a good guess as to what we are having.
What a cute little baby! We were so excited to see the little one in there, relaxing, laying around, chillin. Everyone told us how fun its going to be to see the baby spinning around and moving fast all over, but our little one was completely relaxed and not hyper in the least. He/she moved his/her arms around and legs, but for the most part stayed in the same position.
Eric asked the tech, so do you think we'll see what it is. She said Noooooooo, its way too early. And that was that. She didn't even try to look. I was like, what a jerk.. then when it was all done she said to clean myself off and we can get going. She was nice enough, but seriously, I never had to clean that jelly off me. I have had plenty of sonograms, and never did they not wipe me clean. She even cut our pictures all crooked. WHat a lazy turdball. Its like "hey lady, this is a big deal to us want to try and have some empathy!"
The heart rate was 150 bpm. Our due date was 3 days earlier than thought. But they are not going to change it, its too little of a difference.
Anyhoot... that's my NT scan, our baby is healthy, and so super cute, and we are happy.

Wow your NT scan experience was a lot different than mine. I heard from a lot of ladies on this site that they found out what they were having during their scan. But my tech tried and said that she couldn't even try to give me an accurate guess so she told me she couldn't say anything. We didn't get to find out either but at least she tried. Also, our tech was so sweet and funny... I am so sorry that you had such a lazy person doing your scan, it would've made your experience much more pleasurable.
I guess all that really matters is that you have a beautiful healthy baby growing inside of you -- that's all that counts, right!?
