My mood while writing this blog: Ok |
Into week 8 today, Yay! Excited about that but discouraged about other things. I feel sick 24/7. It's hard for me to work or help take care of the family I already have when I get home. I called my Dr. today to get some differnet prenatal vitamins since I had to use the Wal-Mart kind and ask them to give me something for Nausea. What really has me down is it seems like everyone else already got to see a heartbeat and/or see their bean jumping around on U/S. My first Dr. appt. isn't until July 29th! A month and half away. I will be almost 15 weeks at that time. What is wrong with this picture? Being pregnant right now doesn't even feel real especially since I haven't had a Dr.'s appt. Well besides the sickness. I'm still waiting on the Dr's office to call back to see if they will give me some prenatals and something for nausea but what I'm really hoping for them to say is, "Erica can you come in today, the Dr. wants to see you?" Right! I wish. To me it is a little wierd that he would not want to see me right away to give me prenatals. I had to go to Wal-Mart myself and pick some out. Maybe his secretary messed up. All I want is to hear a heartbeat or get a U/S to be reassured that everything is ok. Ya know?

Sunday, 15 Jun I had to wait forever to see my doctor to! It stinks, I know! The only thing is that, I see you already have a son, maybe being that your so sick, you are p/g with a girl!! I have 3 boys and I was never sick! Hang in there and congrats! katiemul -
Friday, 13 Jun Hey Erika,
It sounds like you should find a new doctor, or, if that is not an option, find secondary support (perhaps a midwife, or nutitionalist or even a pregnant mom's support group). Also, my multivitamins make me super sick - it's because they have more iron than I need. My doctor told me to find some without iron or to just stop taking them and keep taking folic acid. She said thats the really important one. Good luck with everything! Hang in there! -newnaam -
Thursday, 12 Jun 15 weeks seem like a long time to wait to see the doctor. If I were you I'd call another doctor. As bad as this sounds you can always call them and tell them your having some cramps and would like to come in to make sure everything is ok.. I think they would have to see you then.
I wouldn't be able to wait that long for an appointment. My first appointment isn't until Jun 25th and even that is just the inital meeting with the nurse I probably won't even get to hear a heartbeat. I don't know why they do this to pregnant women when they know damn well how nervous & Excited we are!!
I wish you LUCK!!
