28-5-2008 - What Am I to do???

My mood while writing this blog: Ok

Okay so me and my husband just got a cat at the beginning of February. I have already fallen for this cat and do not want to give him up. I am a HUGE animal lover. My husband and I agreed to get this cat if I would do the majority of taking care of the cat. I have fed him and changed his litter since we had him. Now, with me just finding out that I am pregnant and there are facts out there saying that pregnant women should not touch Kitty Litter. My husband at first agreed to change the litter but with his first time doing it does not like it at all and does not want to do it. He mentioned about getting rid of the cat. THIS IS NOT AN OPTION FOR ME. Does anyone else have a cat? What are you guys doing in this situation? I read in an advertisment that I could still change the litter if i wear gloves and wash my hands throughly after changing the litter. I would even go as far as wearing a mask. So with all of this being said, will someone anyone give me their opinion on what they are doing or what you have done? Thanks for your help in advance.
