30-6-2008 - Is it the end?!?! Confused/scaredMy mood while writing this blog:
Confused/scared

Okay, so this is a touchy subject for me. This weekend my husband and I were talking about everything that is going on in the world. He seems to think we are in Revelations now. For those of you that don't know the bible that is the end time. Noone can predict when its going to be the end. They have been saying that for years now. I know that the bible says not to be scared but I can't help but to say I am. I want to be able to raise my kids and see them have kids. With the way things are going now, how are they going to live? Everything is so expensive and I don't see it getting better. The government did this to us and now we might be so far deep in that it might be inpossible to turn around. I'm sorry but it pisses me off! Why are we going to other countries helping people there? We have people here who are starving, MARRIED couples that need help, and disaters here that need to be taken care of. I am very very disappointed in this country! This country makes it so easy for ILLEGAL immigrants to get in this counrty and take up all of our benefits. My family and I work for what we have and a little help would be nice but they make it hard for married people who are trying to do right instead they help people who are single people who don't want to work and sit on their asses all day long cuz they know they get free stuff. This place so so screwed up. It almost makes a lot of people (almost including myself) that would be better just to be single to get help. I never wanted help from the system until now because with everything going on it is so hard to get anywhere and now that I am married there is no help for me or other married couples, It's bullshit!

I always prayed to God that he would let me grow old to see my kids grow and have kids but I'm just not sure if it would be better that way unless things change. This is something I think about daily because it is scary! The AMERICAN government did this to us.

I was watching 60 minutes last night and in Iraq there are barely anymore christians there. Ever since the invasion the Iraqi Army is killing off all Chrisitians, at least when Saddam was there they were aloud to have churches and Christians were able to practice their religion now, they are running for there lives. Familys take turns going to just one of the few churches left just incase it gets blown up there will still be some family left.

I just don't get it, I think that everyone who cares about our country needs to pay attention to the presidental election and see which President nominee is really going to turn this country around because if it don't happen soon, I wish I could predict what is going to happen but I do know if someone doesn't change it if we the American people don't protest a change this will NOT get better!!!

I agree with you about everyone else getting benefits. I always thought I'd be so embarrassed to use public assistance or food stamps but now I WISH I could get them!! I'd be proud to use them because we work for our money, we pay our taxes and everything we have we've worked hard for. The simple fact is that because we choose to work and not sit home all day we cannot get any sort of help. We paid off a $3,000 gas bill last year. That was to heat our home. I looked into help, any kind of assistance for working families and didn't find much at all. My husband says it all the time, I'd be better off not working at all then we'd get more back in taxes and maybe some help but I can't do that. And he knows that. It's just in our blood we work. It's how we were raised. Nothing comes easy.. but unfortunately for some it does.

Hi. I think everyone is a little worried these days, regardless of which faith they follow. I've lived in many countries around the world and have known excellent and wise people of just about every faith. So the good people are still out there if one looks. History is cyclical; we're in hard times and they seem overwhelming, but our country has come through worse before. We're in a war that has us divided and worn down, but we always muddle through. Since you are a Christian, look at each obstacle as a test of Faith, å la Job; if you can come through with hope intact then you're doing allright. If it is Revelations, then nothing you can do will change it; but how strong you stay for your family will determine how they cope with coming days. If it is any consolation, other countries are struggling with social service reform and immigration as well; American media just doesn't cover much international news like that. The news machine in this country loves to do two things: 1) latch on to bad news and make it sound worse than anyone else's bad news, and 2) latch on to good news and make it sound better than anyone else's. Very rarely is the reporting internationally accurate. The 'national health care' systems in the countries where I have lived are every bit as flawed as the American system, just in different ways. The immigration situations in those places are just as bad if not worse. So before condemning American politics, know that it is not just America having the problems; it is global and there is no simple answer, including a quick change of administrations. History is cyclical, as I said, and we will come through this eventually. It's just keeping the faith till then. Hope that helps.
