19-4-2008 - 25 weeks update

My mood while writing this blog: Thankful Baby and I are ok!

I am so excited to almost be in my 3rd trimester.... I cant wait to meet my little guy..But i dont want him to come to soon!. I have been in the hospital for the past week I was at home and got the worst pain I have ever felt in my life that literally took me to the floor doubled over so my hubby took me to the ER L&D and it ended up I had a gall bladder attack... after a few test the doc came and told me it wasnt infected but it did need to come out he wanted to wait till Monday to remove it or talk about removing it just to see if the pain would go away during the weekend.... well I was in so much pain and had been reassured by my OB and the surgeoun that the surgury would not affect the baby I said I need to get this out now.... (totally god) cause had we waited till monday it would of killed me and Malachi... it was so infected and swelling there were more than 1000 stones in it and it was pushed up under my rib cage cause my uteris is so high already ..by mon it would of swelled to capasity and ruptured.... thank God the pain was unbearable cause I know it was Gods way of making it that urgent for me to say we need to do the surgury now.... so I have a 6in cut across my stomache and 22 staples .... but we made it!!! NowI have been contracting since the surgury and they are medicating me tring to stop the contractions so please pray that they stop and I dont have a premiee baby..they Vary from 2-3 min apart to 15 min apart ..I am 26 weeks 5 days and he is only 2 lbs 5 ounces right now! I know God has a plan for his life and he will be fine but I think all the prayers from friends and family will help.... thanks ...

Hi, I just read your blog. I'm so sorry that you had to have surgery. I hope you are feeling better and that they are able to stop the contractions. Did your dr suggest that you get betamethasone shots? If not, you should mention it to him. They are steroid injections that are given if you are at risk for preterm labor and it helps the baby's lung development. I had the shots and had my babies at 30 weeks. One had no breathing difficulties at all and the other only needed some minor support. Good luck! I'll be praying that you don't have the baby too early.

Thank God you and your baby are alright! I can't imagine going thru that. Keep us posted on how you are ok? Did you have any signs?
