I think I have a case of the Monday’s…

I have been daydreaming all day…to-do list tomorrow, grocery list, my itchy belly, nursery items, baby names, my itchy belly, dinner tonight, what did he/she mean when they said that, online shopping, my itchy belly, filling in my new pregnancy calendar, softball game, second dr’s appointment tomorrow, etc…Ahhh!

It is now 4pm. My mind is still w.a..nd..e.r… ing.

I did learn today that the itchy belly is from my skin expanding and stretching – I also got a suggestion from one of the lovely girls here to try Bag Balm to stop the itching….so I’m going to. I wonder if that’s why my rock-hard swollen breasts are itchy too. Hmmm?

Is the man in your life as involved in the pregnancy as you? I hear that women feel like mothers when they experience the baby move but men don’t feel like fathers until they hold the baby. True?

I’m excited nervous for my doctor’s appointment tomorrow…I just had my first ultrasound last week. U/s tech said that heartbeat was normal. I’m anxious to hear what Doc has to say.

Jake and I decided that we would like to be surprised on the sex of the baby. What am I hoping for? Well, a healthy baby with ten fingers & toes and a normal heartbeat – that’s all. “Some people say…” (hahahah…I hate those three words) that it’s really hard to wait, that the anticipation gets to be unbearable. Any thoughts? I think it’s going to make it that much more special. And for all you “planners” out there, why does it have to be blue or pink, what about neutral colors like tans and creams? – these are gender neutral and compliment just about every other color.

Why is everyone so interested in knowing baby names we are considering? I have 185 days left! My thoughts on this - Geez, I’m still trying to comprehend that I’m really pregnant and what my body is adjusting to right now. And…I am not looking for approval for the name Jake and I choose, which is why I will not tell my mom or his mom. Moms seem to be the worst about this. I do not want to regret or feel bad about this subject.
