| 07-10-2008 - should i be registering for pampers or depends? | My mood while writing this blog:awkward |
Yup; I peed my pants this morning as I let out a gigantic sneeze. Gross.
And friends wonder why I don’t have that same pre-pregnancy self confidence I once had– please re-read the opening sentence – would you? Not to mention the occasional leaky nipple, the penguin–like waddle, and the clear-the-room can’t-hold-it-in gas. Tell me again how these things are supposed to make me feel paramount? It’s no wonder why I haven’t had sex in four weeks, three days, eleven hours and 23,24,25 seconds…
Alright….
On a more positive note, I have officially changed doctors in month 6 of pregnancy. I was reassured by Jake and my mom that I was not being ‘pregnant crazy’ and my reasons for switching are sanely justified. I won’t go into details; however, the new doc is awesome. She is a nurse midwife – which I’m so excited about. She delivers at the hospital and is covered by my insurance - incredible. She took time to talk with me and I felt like more than just a number in a waiting room. I’m overjoyed I found her.
Sidenote: I don’t have gestational diabetes…but I do have pregnancy gingivitis and low iron – so I started flossing and eating more protein – it’s probably good for me anyway. Babe has a “strong” heartbeat, according to doc and strong legs, according to my ribs.
I have received the phone call that my first official baby shower is November 8. So that means that the big “registry date” will be this Saturday. I am going to make certain to get plenty of rest and bring snacks so I don’t become tired and bitchy…my mom will be meeting me for a short – I thought she might be helpful since she’s been through this a few times – and surprisingly Jake seems interested in attending. My aunts have decided on a brunch shower; which I think will be perfect…about 10:30am to 1pm on a Saturday morning, with danishes, fresh fruit, juice & coffee, quiche, ect…
I hope everyone is feeling well ** and to those of you that can still bend over and tie your shoes – “you go girl!”
