| 29-9-2009 - F Corporate America!! | My mood while writing this blog:super peeved |
Dear ASM,
Every week for years I have given you 40 hours of my time. Time away from my family, time away from my friends, time away from the important things in the short life we live. I came back to you after maternity leave with NO PTO time…a brand new baby and no time to take for appointments or just to enjoy the new experience of motherhood. And you consistently remind me that I’m unable to take any time off – like you are taunting me, dangling it right in my face, saying things like “just remember you have 13 weeks before your PTO time picks back up”. I know! Thank you…this has caused all kinds of stress – in more ways than you can imagine…but what would you care? To you, I’m just a number. I come in, I enter your orders, I take shit from customers, I take shit from BDMs, I take shit from clients…but even though I’m paid bottom-of-the-barrel wages, I smooth things out. I have never had a complaint against me, I have never complained. But you on the other hand hound me and then write me up for leaving ten minutes early on a Friday when I clocked out with 40.20 hours!! I probably would have gotten written up for having OT had I stayed on the clock - it's a catch 22...what's a girl to do? You then proceed to write me up for not clocking out when I take my ten minute break to enjoy the only motherly experience (pumping) I get in my 8.5 hour day – seriously?! It takes some people ten minutes to shit…are you making them clock out too??! If it was necessary for me to clock out; why didn’t someone tell me 6 months ago when I asked if I could use the conference room to pump? Instead you pull me into a room and reprimand me for something I didn’t even know I was doing wrong…and then put it in writing! Ga!!! I feel like I am a strong employee and I have built great relationships with most clients and customers…but you treat me like shit and I can’t wait to kick you to the curb! **sigh** I hate corporate America…come on public option, get me outta here!
F-You,
Meegan
