| 19-11-2009 - the wave | My mood while writing this blog:delighted |
Rushing around this morning as usual; I had hit snooze two too many times. bottles - check, lunch - check, pump - check, phone - check, coffee - check...Jaina's up and changed - check. As I dress, I hear her little grunts and know exactly what's happening in the living room. I'd rather be late to work than make my little girl ride in the car with a poop filled diaper...Jaina changed #2 - check. And about 40 minutes after waking up, we are out the door...phew!
I am very fortunate that my Aunt D has a daycare in her home...so it isn't that hard for me to leave her...I know she is well taken care of. We pull up to her house after a half hour car ride and Aunt D is there to greet us at the door. Jaina is all smiles as we walk in and say hello to her little friends. Aunt D puts bottles & food in the fridge as I remove the puffy pink jacket from Jai's short arms. I give the big I-Love-You smooch, like I do every day, and hand Jai over to the welcoming arms of Aunt D. Routinely I say "I love you, see you at 5:30" while giving a little wave. Well today, I stood in the doorway in awe....my little girl smiled and waved back at me (tear). It completely warmed my heart - who knew such a small gesture could cause such big emotions.
