Hello ladies, i know i don't update my page too much but i am always on here reading your blogs and commenting on things so i decided since now i have some free time to write a blog on how mine and Grace's lives have been going...

Well she is 16 months now and i cannot believe it! This has gone by way to fast, she is walking, talking, and learning new things everyday. Sometimes i am shocked on how quickly she catches onto things. She is about 31 or 32 inches tall and about 26 lbs, so she is on the short side for her age but average weight, but her thighs are still chunky like i like them!! She is a very happy, hyper little girl that is just full of life and energy, she seriously has the biggest personality for such a little person that i can't get enough of it! She amazes me everyday!

As for me, i am officially a college graduate!!!!!! I walk across the stage next week with a Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts from College for Creative Studies. I am also graduating with Honors, 3.6 GPA!!! I can't believe i actually finished college in four years, i did not take anytime off to have Grace because i knew if i did i might not have of gone back! Luckily she was born over Christmas break/between semesters!!! I am very proud of myself for accomplishing this and plan on going onto Grad school in a couple years to get my master's degree in Art conservation. I am working at an Art Conservation studio right now as an intern learning from the top Art conservationist in the Detroit area, this is my dream job!!!!

I am still single, i haven't actually dating anyone since my ex, there has been no time! If i do get that rare evening out, i would spend it with my friends who have supported me so much these past couple years. I am lonely and i want to find someone one day that will love me and Grace but i am not actively looking. My ex/sperm donor has not seem Grace in a year, he took me to court last October for visitation and child support but i put up barriers to prevent him from seeing her, like he has to submit to random drug testing, which he didn't, and take parenting classes, which he didn't do either. According to his mom, who is in Grace's life and sees her occasionally, he hit some bad times again! HA! He is a dead beat, low life who lied, cheated and stole from me before i realized who he was, i became pregnant. I broke up with him the day after i found out i was pregnant because it scared him so much that he admitted everything that was going on the entire 8 months we were dating. He will never see my daughter! I am in the process of taking things back to court to get him to sign over his rights because he is back almost 5 grand in un-paid child support plus he is a drug addict so he should never be around my daughter! But enough about shitty stuff...

This time two years ago was when i found out i was pregnant and i can't believe that i am where i am. I did what had promised to myself, i am giving my daughter the greatest life possible! I would not change my life for anything in the world, she is the light of our family and i cannot imagine it without her!!

I am very open with any questions any one has, especially about being a single mom, and dealing with court systems and drug addict ex boyfriends. I know its a hard subject but i am come to terms with it and am not ashamed to talk about it anymore! These past two years have been the hardest in my entire life and its not going to get any easier but it has also been the most amazing thing in the world to be a mom to a wonderful little girl!

Congrats on the graduation!!! That's a wonderful accomplishment. I go back in July, and I'm so excited! That's good you were able to finish without time off.

You gave me some ideas while talking about your ex. I like the way you handled that! If you remember, I'm a single parent and my ex is a drug addict, too, so I was trying to figure out how to keep him away. If I ever need to go to court, I'll be back for more tips!
