29-6-2009 - Maternity Leave

My mood while writing this blog: Ok

I began my maternity leave today. I am still working but will be doing my job from home instead of driving an hour and a half each way to the office. As I mentioned in my previous blog I will only be working 20 hrs a week now instead of 40. If feels so strange just sitting at the house on a Monday morning, my dogs all keep looking at me like I have thrown their routine off. As far as work goes, I am just waiting to be told what needs to be worked on. I would prefer to stay busy but they don't want to give me too much work on, they think I need my rest. I haven't just laid around the house, in a very long time, or ever for that matter. Before I started working at my current job I was a full time student and also worked 20 hrs a week, so I stayed busy all day.

So I am a little worried these last few weeks before Hudson arrives are going to leave me very bored and lonely. However, I am excited about having time to pick back up on some of my hobbies. I started a scrapbook when I found out I was pregnant, but haven't had time to devote to it. I also love to paint, but haven't had time in over a year to really enjoy it. I also feel like this will give me time to maybe expand my graphic design and web coding skills. I love learning and it will be nice to have a little time to expand my knowledge, not to mention it will only make me worth more in the end...Might even take time to make my profile on this site look decent, instead of rushed.
