23-7-2009 - Long Day

My mood while writing this blog: tired

It was a very long day. My uncle's funeral was today and it all didn't really sink in, until I saw him. It was difficult, I have never had anyone that close to me pass away. His service was beautiful and very fitting for him. He was an amazing person, who always had a smile on his face and laugh just around the corner. He served in the Army when he was younger and his disease has been possibly linked to the vaccinations he received. We were all very surprised and gracious for the servicemen who attended his funeral. Taps were played and the flag was draped upon his casket and given to his wife and children. It was very peaceful.

On a good note, my fiance and I decided to start saving all of our change when we found out we were expecting. We thought it would be a good way to get any last minute things we would need for our little one. We made ourselves promise to not count it until it was time for him to arrive. Well, we decided today was close enough. I am so proud of us, without putting much effort into it, we have over $100 just in change. That is amazing. We are so blessed by amazing family and friends, we received everything we needed at both our showers, so I have no clue what we are going to spend it on.
