| 14-8-2008 - new things! | My mood while writing this blog:comfortable.. aaahhh! |
so i finally broke down last night and bought 2 new bras! my boobs are getting so big and sore that none of my bras were fitting. i was even wearing this little sleep shelf bra thingy over my regular bras just to keep everything in place and from popping out! all my poor little victoria secrets bras were just not cutting it! so, the hubs and i walked into gap body and the sales lady asked me if there was anything she could help me find. "yes! my boobs are huge and i don't know what size they are or what to do with them! help me!" she laughed, congratulated me on my pregnancy, and started measuring away. i told her i wanted full coverage, supportive, and comfy. my poor hubs just stood there and looked at all the pretty, sexy, lacy bras on one side, while the lady and i made a b-line toward the utilitarian section. she found me the most comfortable thing i have ever worn! the underwire is well padded so you can't feel it stabbing into your sides, it has nice wider straps that don't dig into your shoulders, and it holds everybody where they should be! fantastico! they had a sale that was buy 2, get one free, so i got 2 colors of the cozy one, and then got one sleep bra... aah, so nice. support 24/7. so i can cross item #1 off my list!
this is it: can you say COZY!?!? if your bras are too small and cutting off your circulation, go see the helpful people at GapBody! they were so nice and great!!

now for my next dilemma! my pants & shorts all fit great still- except i just can't button the top buttons! i've been using the hair band method for a few weeks now, where you loop the band thru the hole, and then around the button. works great- most of the time. i was wearing shorts yesterday though, that didn't have your standard button hole top, they had the little metal claspy things that... well, they just don't work for the rubber band method. a new little maternity/baby boutique opened this week near me called Belly Bou (the CUTEST thing ever for those of you whole live in Roseville!). i went in there and she got me all hooked up with a Bella Band. It's black, with lace on the bottom, so it looks like you're wearing a little black tank top under your shirt! no problemo! oh, for all of you who aren't familiar with this product, it's a great in-betweener for all of us who are squeezing into our regular clothes, and not quite ready for maternity pants. you just leave the top button unbuttoned, and pull up your Bella Band over the top! it holds your pants in place! you can unfold it and wear it from your hips to your ribs, or you can fold it in half and it's like a big belt! it is pretty great, and i would highly recommend it to all you in-betweeners out there! i've heard they're great to help with post-prego pants dilemmas also! hope you all have a great day!
