14-12-2009 - 14 months and fabulous

My mood while writing this blog: festive

Wow, What a blogging slacker I am;)~

Well, lets see. Where were we? Lilyahna is 14 months old now and doing so well.

Walking~ She started walking on her first birthday. I am still nursing her quite a bit.

Nursing~ She nurses more than she eats food. She started eating a tiny bit of solids at 8 months but didn't eat much at all until closer to 12 months. Now she eats regularly but still loves nursing and gets most of her calories (i think) from me. She still nurses in the night (she sleeps with Mommy) a couple times and a few times during the day. She has never been sick and I think this is one of the reasons why. Plus it is such sweet bonding time we both still love it.

Eating~ Her diet is very healthy. Aside from breastmilk, I only feed her fresh fruit and veggies (no canned, processed packaged stuff) whole grains, legumes and occasionally wild caught, hormone antibiotic free meat. She does not eat sugar, salt, packaged, dairy, preservatives, junk, etc... There are exceptions, like she has a little bit of salt in the local made whole grain bread, and sometimes there will be a little canned something in a batch of soup like maybe there will be a can of corn but the rest is fresh. Anyways, I try to feed her mostly organic, we are working on that. I'm doing my best for my baby. Some people want to give her junk food. What is up with that? She's just a baby! Oh well, Mommy will protect her, ;) ha ha.

Talking~ Lily likes to say "Dada, dog, mama"

I stay home with her as much as I can. She is with her Grandma about 5 hours a week? She is so outgoing and fun. She understands "no". I love my baby sooo much. The love is amazing. What else can I say? My baby is an incredible joy.
