12-1-2009 - First appointment today

Ok ladies!! Today was my first appointment to confirm!!! YAY!!! I had all of my dates correct and the Nurse practioner told my me due date....which I already knew.....9-10-09, the day after my birthday!!!! WOOOO HOOOO!!! I'm so excited! I have my first ultrasound scheduled for January 26 and then my first OB appointment on Feb 2. They said everything seems fine so far. When I called last week, the OB nurse told me it was OK to take my Prilosec and when I went in today, the ARNP told me no. She said only take Prevacid and Zantac for my acid reflux. I haven't taken them before so I don't know how well they are going to work. They told me the normal stuff. No hot tubs, bath tubs are fine, swimming is fine, prenatal vitamins at night instead of the morning, drink water as much as possible, Rest when possible, I can work, I can exercise, She also said I probably won't show until I'm about 6 months. She didn't seem very nice. Almost like what she was saying was rehearsed, like it's the same thing she tells everyone. I don't have to see her anymore though. I see my doctor from now on. I picked him today and he's from Louisiana also which is why I picked him.

The ARNP did kinda seem a little hissy when I told her I already knew what my due date was. HELLO! I did just graduate nursing school and have an interest in OBGYN. I kinda know a little more than they think I do. The nurse that was taking all of my info said I made her job way too easy. LOL.
