| 17-1-2009 - 6 weeks 2 days | My mood while writing this blog:Having severe acid reflux |
Hi ladies! I had my IV certification class today. I can draw blood and start IV's now!! And let me just say that getting stuck in the hand hurts more than any needle I have ever had!
I was doing pretty good all day until I got home and decided to take a nap. I woke up and can't seem to get rid of my acid reflux. My doc told me it was ok to take Zantac since I have had acid reflux since I was 4. The box says no more than 2 tabs in 24 hours so I had to take a 2nd one today. I hope that's not a problem but I was DYING. I don't have morning sickness but I get sick from the reflux. If anyone has it, you know what I'm talking about. I'm still feeling kinda crummy but I think it may be getting a little better. It's 8 p.m. and I still haven't been able to even cook dinner yet because I'm in so much discomfort that I can't get off the couch.
How do women that were cursed with severe GERD from childhood manage to get through a pregnancy when Tums, Rolaids, Mylanta, etc. doesn't work. I feel like I'm in hell. I can literally feel my stomach burning because of the acid. My chest burns. My throat is constantly sore because of the acid. I've tried EVERYTHING. Milk actually seems to make it worse. I am miserable. I'm trying really hard to be strong and stick it out for my baby but I don't know how I can get through this. It's so painful it makes me cry!
