16-8-2009 - He's here!

My mood while writing this blog: Exhausted

So this is going to be quick, but I wanted to let everyone know that William Gregory (Liam) has arrived!

After being diagnosed with pre-eclampsia on Monday, my doctor called me and wanted me to go in to be induced that night. They caught the pre-eclampsia early and my only symptoms were high blood pressure and protein in my urine. So I went in Monday afternoon. Monday evening labor started and Liam was born Tuesday August 11th at 4:52pm weighing 7lbs 9.4 oz and measuring 21.5 inches long (although some of that length was in his cone head :-))

He's very healthy and doing well! And I seem to be healing just fine. We just need some sleep now! :-) Right now we're extremely exhausted (part of the reason it's taken so long for me to come on here to announce). Liam's schedule is backwards (sleeping during the day and up all night). Greg is currently holding Liam so I can update, but I'm off for feeding time!

(I will post pics later when I have more time and I don't have a little boy needing to be fed! :-))

wooohooo! congrats on the safe arrival of Liam!!!! Sorry to hear about the pre eclampsia, I am so pleased they caught it early. Cant wait for the next update!! In the meantime, enjoy every new mummy second!! Emily is still inside :(R x
