16-3-2009 - 13 Weeks & 6 Days

My mood while writing this blog: Happy Happy Happy

Hi everyone

How was everyone's weekend? I haven't been on for a few days so don't think I'm being rude if I haven't answer any messages. We have had a lovely few days off.

Friday afternoon we went out for lunch and then went shopping, I got a lovely new dress and matching jewellery. Saturday Loubyxxx came round, then on the evening we went to my cousin's house warming party. We only stayed a couple of hours but it was nice to get out and get dressed up.

Yesterday we went to Steve's dad's house for tea and he told us some shocking news - shocking in kind of a good way. Steve's parents split up a year ago after 22 years of marriage and it was awful; it hit Steve and his 18 year old brother really hard. They sold their lovely big house and bought a house each and that was that. Anyway, Steve's dad started seeing someone else a couple of weeks ago and his mum didn't like it at all, it was her that ended the marriage but now she has realised that she wants him back so they have decided to get back together. Steve wasn't very happy with his mum because she broke the marriage up and his dad was devestated, he finally began to move on and met someone else and now she wants him back. I am annoyed because of all the hurt that Steve and his brother went through and when I saw his mum yesterday I told her she better not put them through it ever again.

Anyway, today we have looked after my little niece and nephew and then went out and about. The sun has been shining so it's been a really nice few days.

I am still over the nausea, I feel it on and off sometimes but nowhere near as bad as before. The only thing is that now I'm getting headaches every day but I would rather have headaches than have the nausea back any day.

Over the weekend all my family kept touching my belly and asking to have a look even though there's not much to see yet but it's very exciting and I love it that they all want to see. In the mornings my little bump is really hard and when I touch it it just makes me smile, I can't wait for it to get bigger.

I go into week 14 tomorrow so I'll officially be in the 2nd trimester. The weeks are going much quicker for me now that I don't feel sick every day. I am finally really enjoying my pregnancy. Only 6 more weeks until my 20 week scan, I'm sure I'll have a big belly by then.
