Im so glad everything went well at your 16 week appointment. I had my 28 week appointment yesterday and so far everythings perfect for me too, seems 4th time round my body finally knows whats its doing lol!!

Awwww hun thats wonderful news! But i knew it would be baby hudson is a real tough cookie and can't wait to meet mommy and daddy in september! I have a midwife appointment tomorrow afternoon ellies coming along to keep me company as i dunno about you but each time were waiting at least 30 mins to an hour to be seen haha! and next wednesday i have me growth scan and clinic appointment and im always in for a long wait there too! Sheesh soo many appointments towards the end but i love them as im sure you do! I get to hear the hearbeat as does ellie and thats just music to my ears! x x x

yay, wonderful news! i think i probably will have the blood tests, although not sure yet, and i've heard there's a high false positive rate. we are doing the nuchal folds u/s this fri, but beyond that i dont' know. i do not want an amnio as i think the m/c rate is too high, but again we'll have to see:) glad to hear everything is going so well!

So good to always hear about your appointments going so well, and I commend you for not wanting to get tested. I felt the same way you did...why spend 20 weeks worrying about something I have no control over when I would love my baby no matter what. Can't wait to see your next ultrasound pic!

| 01-4-2009 - 16 Week Midwife Appointment |  My mood while writing this blog:Soooo Happy |
Just got back from my 16 week midwife appointment. Everything was fine, slight trace of protein in my urine but nothing to worry about. Blood pressure 90 over 60.
I got to hear baby's heartbeat again, she found it straight away and it was 150bmp, it made me cry, what an amazing sound. She said my womb is in the right place etc, everything looks totally normal.
We decided against the blood tests for spina bifada and the others, the midwife told us that because I'm in my 30's the test results could come back high and I could spend the rest of my pregnancy worrying that something was wrong with the baby and then it could come out perfectly healthy so we decided to let nature takes it's course and if there was something wrong we wouldn't love the baby any less.
I am so excited. I go to every appointment still fearing the worst and come out absolutely elated when I find out everything is fine. Only 4 weeks and 2 days until my 20 week scan now.
I've just booked Friday off work so I'll be having a nice long weekend - yippee!
