07-4-2009 - 17 Weeks

Hello ladies

Well that weekend went quick! I had to take yesterday off work as well as I'm covered in a really itchy rash and had to go to the doctors to get some cream for it. She gave me some Aqueous but it isn't really helping much so far. The rash started on my inner arms and is now all over my whole body, it's horrible and keeps me awake at night. I can't stop scratching! ARGH!

Apart from the rash I am really well and loving my growing belly. Steve and I lay in bed every night and feel my stomach to see how much it's grown as it feels much harder when I lay down, Steve can't wait to feel baby kick bless him.

Everyone keeps telling me how well I look and that I'm blooming, I must admit I do feel nice at the moment apart from the rash. I've still managed to not put any weight on at all and I'm still 6 lbs under my pre pregnancy weight which is great as I'll have less to lose after baby comes. It's great wearing size 10 maternity clothes as I always imagined I'd get fat when I got pregnant but thankfully that doesn't seem to be happening. I don't mind getting a huge baby bump but I don't want to put weight on everywhere else as it's not good for the baby or me. I'm not exactly slim but I'm a healthy weight so I'm happy with that.

I've been using my doppler every day but only for a few seconds the last few days just to check everything is ok. I am getting good at finding the heartbeat now and can usually find it straight away. It's the most amazing sound ever, I love it.

So I'm 17 weeks today, only 23 weeks or 161 days left. Time is going much faster now, only 3 weeks and 3 days until my 20 week scan. I can't wait to see baby again on that screen.
