My mood while writing this blog: Ready for the weekend woohoo |
Hellooooo ladies
Yippee! It's Friday and nearly time to go home from work, this week has flown by with it only being a 4 day week.
The sun is shining (at last) and it's meant to be sunny all weekend which is great as I am craving sunshine and feel so horribly white at the minute! I can't wait to sit in the garden tomorrow morning and eat my breakfast out there.
So yesterday I felt my first little 'tapping' from inside my belly, it was wonderful but still very light. I can't wait for some proper kicks so Steve can feel it.
Our 20 week scan is 2 weeks today, I'm soooo looking forward to it, it's been ages since my last scan so I can't wait to see how much my gorgeous baby has grown.
I am feeling really well at the minute, I have lots of energy and a big appetite! I think I'm up to my pre pregnancy weight now so I'm sure I'll start gaining every week from now on. My rash is starting to go away now which is great because it was really driving me mad.
The only complaint I have at the minute is how many times I have to go to the toilet! I can literally go to the toilet before I leave work and by the time I've walked 2 minutes to my car I need to go again. When we walk Jack I can feel every step making my bladder heavy so I don't go as often or as far now as there are no toilets to go to. It's becoming a problem because everywhere we go I have to make sure there is a toilet close by. I also have to get up about 5 times in the night to go as I wake up desperate! I know this is normal in pregnancy but what am I going to be like when my belly weighs a ton when I'm further on???
I ordered a gorgeous swing/rocker/chair for baby Hudson today. It was quite expensive but it looks like so much fun, I can't wait for it to come next week so I can have a play with it.
This weekend we don't have many plans apart from Loubyxxx and Liliana coming round tomorrow which I'm really looking forward to. Apart from that we will just be taking Jackaroo out and visiting family. Nice relaxing weekend in the sun (hopefully).
I'm excited about going home today as my maternity clothes that I ordered from the internet should have come. I'm wearing a normal pair of trousers to work today and they are so tight I'm sat with them undone! I hope some of these new clothes are suitable as I'm running out of things to wear for work.
We are still struggling to find a boys name that we like, thanks for all of your suggestions but nothing has stood out for me so far. More suggestions would be gratefully received please!
I just wanted to say a big big big congrats to Pochahontas - I knew she would get her BFP as soon as she got those puppies, I told her that all along and I am soooo happy for her.
I also want to say good luck to Jelly27 who has also gotten her BFP but is waiting for confirmation - I am sure everything will be fine and I am thinking of you!
Lots of love and babydust and labour dust to those that need it! Helen and bump xx

Monday, 20 Apr Hi Helen, I'm happy that you are feeling great. Re the the peeing at nights, you will wake up less if you drink during the morning and days. christinesc -
Monday, 20 Apr I am so glad you are feeling well and that the rash is on its way out. I'm still feeling pretty poor. When did you start feeling better? I keep thinking it's got to end soon! :o/ utopianite -
Friday, 17 Apr I think having to get up 2 or 3 times a night to pee is just your body's way of getting to ready for those sleepless nights once your little one comes. :-) Lately I've tried not drinking very much a couple of hours before I go to bed, so that I won't have to get up, but when I wake up my eyes and throat are terribly dry like I'm a little dehydrated, so I guess I'll go back to keeping a glass of water beside the bed. :-) Glad your rash is going away too. :-) Mandy86 **pink** -
