Yippee 19 weeks today!
The weeks are going so fast now it's wonderful, I can't believe in 7 days I'll be half way there.
Last night I felt baby kick from the outside, it was only the once just before I went to bed but I loved it! I tried to get Steve to feel but like all of you have said as soon as he put his hand on my belly baby stopped moving!
He/she didn't stop moving all day yesterday it was wonderful. Since he/she has become more active it's harder to listen to the heartbeat on the doppler because as soon as I find it he/she moves to a different position but it's still really strong and you can hear every movement and kick - i love it!
I had a lovely day yesterday, I finished work at 2pm and then went home and sunbathed in the garden with Jack and read baby books, it was so relaxing.
This weekend we are going to my sisters on Friday for a Chinese as it's her birthday on Thursday and then we will maybe have a barbeque on Saturday if the weather stays nice. Fingers crossed.
Next week I am off work on Tuesday to go shopping with my mum and out for lunch. She's buying us a moses basket and some more bedding for the cot so that will be a nice day.
Steve is away from Monday until Wednesday so it'll just be me, Jackaroo and bump for 3 days; then on the Friday it is our scan - YIPPEE I'm soooo excited about it.
I woke up yesterday morning to find my left boob had leaked in the night, it shocks me but I suppose it's quite normal?
A quick question - I am at the dentist next Thursday for a filling, is it 100% safe having the numbing injection while you are pregnant? I have put it off and put it off as I didn't want any treatment while I'm pregnant but I am now in agony with my tooth so I really need to have it done. What do you girls think?

Wednesday, 22 Apr my dentist said that you can't have dental work done in the first trimester, so you should be fine, but it wouldn't hurt to call and ask! Congrats on 19 weeks and almost being half way! how exciting!! proud.mummy.of.3xxx -

Tuesday, 21 Apr Yay 19 weeks ! I bet it's lovely feeling the baby move all the time! I think its fine to go to the dentist , i think they just want you to avoid x-rays! Good Luck Hun!!!! Jelly27 -
Tuesday, 21 Apr Everything sounds great. I hope your dentist appointment goes without any pain. mindygallo22 -
Tuesday, 21 Apr You can have the injection for your dental work. They may make you get a release from your doctor to say it's ok for you to go. The xrays are ok too as long as your abdomen is completely shielded. I feel my baby's hiccups!!!! mll28 -
Tuesday, 21 Apr YAY 19 weeks :) How exciting.
I'm pretty sure that getting an freezing injection is ok and as some of the other ladies said I think its just the x-rays they say to avoid :)

Tuesday, 21 Apr Congrats on being almost half way to meeting your little one... seems like just last week you got your BFP, I'm so happy for you! I'll be looking forward to seeing your scan pics, reading your blogs reminds me of my own when I had to write he/she when refering to baby... so exciting waiting to find out what your having at that special moment when baby comes :) Well dear have a wonderful week with all you have going on! ~smiles~ one day -
Tuesday, 21 Apr You sound soooo relaxed and calm... even with a toothache!! LOL... I'm sure you can get that done bc it's only local! and nowadays they even have x-rays that are such a low "voltage" and that thing we wear on top that they say it's not harmful... I don't trust it though! LOL Get ready for your boobs leaking a LOT! LOL

Tuesday, 21 Apr My doctor had to write a letter as well before they would even clean my teeth. They did xrays on me but ONLY because they put two vest on me. They told me to come back after having him to have my filling done so I don't know. My boobs leaked too when I was about 16 weeks forward :) skatrose -
Tuesday, 21 Apr I can't believe you are almost halfway! That is so great to hear you are doing well. Your boob leaking is totally normal, as the other ladies have said. My husband always thought it was so funny when it would happen to me--it still does! ha ha. Good luck at the dentist, you might as well get it taken care of now and it is totally safe (from what I've read and heard from other people). Good luck! Abigails Mommy -
Tuesday, 21 Apr Woohoo!! Congrats on Week 19 :-) My doctor had to write a note to my dentist before they would even clean my teeth. I think the X-rays are what you need to avoid. RainbowRach -
Tuesday, 21 Apr YAY!!! what a lovely update!!!! x x x
So pleased you are 19 weeks, wow it is going quickly. I bet you cannot wait for your scan next week. I am going to be right here waiting for the update!!!
Wow and you felt the baby from the outside. Not long til you catch the little monkey with Steves hand x
Leaking is normal hun. Dont worry about that chick.
As far as the dentist goes I believe it is safe to have an injection, I think the main thing you have to avoid is x-rays. I am sure the dentist will no do anything to put you or your bump in danger x
Sorry I havent been on email, so flipping busy at work. I have a deadline for tomorrow morning and a concall. Once thats over I should be around.
ONLY 21 WEEKS TO GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tuesday, 21 Apr Hey hun glad to hear things are going good..other than your tooth OUCH! I'm not sure I never had any tooth problems when preggo. As far as boob leakage haha I had that all the time when I was preg. with my son & my Dr. assured me its normal! utopianite -
Tuesday, 21 Apr Local anesthetic shouldn't have any effect of the baby. It's the gas that you have to be careful of because it gets into the baby's system too. (That's why I'm waiting to have my filling put back in. I don't do shots in the mouth very well.) :-) I'm really looking forward to hitting that 20 week mark too! Congratulations! Brandy1015 -
Tuesday, 21 Apr Wow Helen, 19 weeks. Congrats! It has been a long journey for you, but in the end you are going to have a beautiful baby. You are a very strong and courageous lady. I wish you nothing but the best. Can't wait to see the 20 week scan, and how much the baby has changed. alijo -
Tuesday, 21 Apr Kicks are the best. Keep it up Bump! aselleck26 -
Tuesday, 21 Apr 19 weeks! and movement from the outside! thats GREAT! he'll be able to feel baby soon enough! madi used to do that to david all the time, shed be going crazy then as soon as he put his hand to feel shed stop lol. also with chinese i dunno if its homemade or your going out, if going out make sure they dont use MSG. but i had a filling in the end of my 2nd tri and they used novacaine. yay hun! 19 weeks! Trini -
Tuesday, 21 Apr I had fillings in my third trimester. It is fine. The leaking is normal too. I started leaking at around the same time with my first. I freaked out thought it was going to into early labor or something. It is normal though. I started leaking around 20 with my first and 7 weeks with my 2nd! STCT -
Tuesday, 21 Apr I'm glad everything is going so well, he'll soon feel the baby. Yes it's normal to leak. Sometimes I would wake up because my shirt was so wet LOL and yes, it's safe to go to the dentist they just can't give you gas. xO-BRiANNA -
Tuesday, 21 Apr =] your making so far! I'm so happy for you... just think within just 20 more weeks (aprox!) you'll have a beautiful baby in your arms! jen -
Tuesday, 21 Apr 19 weeks Helen, that's wonderful!! And feeling baby move on the outside...just means you got a strong one in there!! I would ask your doc about the dentist....I've heard different things. I had my wisdom teeth come in while preggo and it hurt like a s.o.b., but I just took some tylenol and tried to cope. There were many nights I just cried and cried my mouth hurt so bad! I hope they say you can get it taken care of so you don't hurt!! rosye13 -
Tuesday, 21 Apr Don't worry, my doctor said it is definitely 100% safe to get novacaine while pregnant. I had a couple of fillings last month. christinesc -
Tuesday, 21 Apr I would imagine your dentist would know if the novacaine or what ever is used would be harmful. From what I understand a low dose of local anestheia is fine. I would still research it. Good luck. I know how painful that can be! midwife~momma -
Tuesday, 21 Apr I can't believe you're going to be 5 months preggie next week! I would definitely call your OB and dentist to make sure it's ok. I was actually glad to get some rain yesterday as it's always about 90 degrees and dry here in Florida, had to buy my baby her first pair of sunglasses this weekend! Enjoy the sunshine and feeling your little one move! momto4littleangelsn1ontheway -
Tuesday, 21 Apr omg congrats on 19 weeks time is really flying by how excited,it is fine to go to the dentist cuz all pregnant women have to go and make sure that if there are going to do an x ray make sure there cover your tummy from the radiation, but you can talk to you midwife to make sure, don't worry those kicks are going to get stronger and then hubby will be able to see and feel baby Hudson moving, well have a blessed day and take care. julz -
Tuesday, 21 Apr WOW I can't believe you are already 19 weeks, time sure flys huh? When I had any work done on my teeth when I was prego, my dentist called my ob's office to check and make sure which meds they could use. Does your dentist know your prego? If he/she does then they will know how much and what meds to give you. But I would call your doc and ask just to make sure. With the bb's leaking, it's totally normal! They are getting ready for baby!!! nirvana -

Enjoy your sisters birthday and i hope the weather stays this lovely for you BBQ xxx derra1976 -
Tuesday, 21 Apr You are in your second trimester and as long as you stick with the local anesthetic you and baby will be fine. You can't have any of the gas. My dentist wouldn't do any work except for cleaning until I was in my second trimester.
Glad everything else is going well for you and the baby!!! You will really start to feel him/her move around more and more! How great!! Take care! lisamarie8503 -
Tuesday, 21 Apr My dentist (here in America) will not clean or do fillings until you are in the 3rd trimester. You swallow all that stuff and its not good for the baby, so they dont risk it here. Can you wait til 3rd trimester? princessvjc -
Tuesday, 21 Apr cant believe how fast its goin!wont be long until ur in pain an pushin out ur lil bub!!!!cant wait for ur scan!!!xxx Orphan Annie -
Tuesday, 21 Apr I have already had a filling this pregnancy. My doctor told me as long as they didn't give me the numbing stuff with epinephrine in it, it would be okay. And about the boobs leaking, both of mine are starting already, but this is my 4th child. steph mom of 3 beauties x -
Tuesday, 21 Apr WoooHoooo! For 19weeks!! It will fly by hun i promise! Enjoy it whilst you can while its magicl before you get all the last trimester aches and pains! LOL! ONly kidding Hope you have a lovely day x x x samsara625 -
Tuesday, 21 Apr As far as I know its safe to have a filling when you are pregnant but maybe you should ring your midwife and check if it is worrying you . Also I am sure the dentist would know if it is safe or not , try ringing them .
Glad you are happy and well x
