My mood while writing this blog: Great! |
Morning ladies
How is everyone this week? I can't believe it's Wednesday already, this week is flying by! So here I am at 22 weeks 1 day and I'm still feeling wonderful.
I had a horrible day at work on Monday. I am STILL trying to get my pay put up after taking on an additional full time job as well as my own last August and on Monday I had had enough of waiting around so instead of dealing with my admin manager (who is useless) I went to my Assistant Director and told him how unimpressed I was at how long I'm having to wait to get my new job description submitted to see if my wages can be put up. Anyway, yesterday as soon as my admin manager heard that the Assistant Director wanted a word about me the job description was written and emailed to me by lunch time! I've only waited for them to do it for 6 MONTHS! So now it will be submitted to a panel of people who have no idea what my job actually entails and they will decide if I can have more money or not. Totally ridiculous set up as is everything within the NHS but it's worth a try. Now that that is all sorted I am feeling much happier, it might turn out that they won't give me the extra money but at least I'll know either way before I go off on maternity leave - in 92 days! Woohoo.
Well Baby H has been kicking like mad the last week or so and me and Steve can both feel it from the outside. I measured my belly last night and I've grown another 2cm. It's 99cm now but looks to me like it's grown a lot more than that in 3/4 weeks! I also watched my belly vibrate after a kick in the bath the other night, it was so amazing. I can't wait to see it moving all over the place.
So everything is fine and dandy in the Hudson household, Steve even went round to his parents the other night to tell them they'd upset me with the 'we don't like babies' and the 'aunty maggie' comments and apparently they were mortified that they'd upset me. An hour after Steve got back I got a card through the door from my mother in law saying how sorry she was and that they both can't wait to be grandparents and she'd put 2 pictures in the card, one of Steve when he'd just been born and one of her holding Steve and both of them smiling. I thought that was really nice and I hope they will learn now not to upset a pregnant hormonal woman! ha ha.
Sorry I haven't been on much lately, I am just catching up with blogs and messages and if I don't reply it's just lack of time, I ALWAYS read everyone's messages and blogs.
I will be putting a belly pic up tonight.
Lots of love from Helen and the 99cm bump - baby H! xxx
