My mood while writing this blog: Happy |
Hi ladies
Wow, it feels like ages since I last blogged. It's been pretty hectic to say the least.
Last Friday I left work and did the weekly shop around Tesco, as all you pregnant ladies know it's not easy when you're 6 months pregnant so I was pretty stressed when I got home and had had a really busy week at work. I got home and started unpacking my shopping and was looking forward to a nice sit down and chill out before Steve got home. I went upstairs and my bathroom was flooded, the toilet cistern had broken and there was inches of water all over the bathroom floor and I could hear it still coming out but couldn't find where it was coming from. Steve was out of town (typical) so I rang my sister and she came round and helped me. We had to call out a plumber and when I went back downstairs the water was leaking through the ceiling into my dining room. I was so stressed out and upset. Anyway, a plumber eventually came and he stopped the leaking but we are having to have a whole new bathroom fitted. We have a loss adjuster coming on Monday to see if we can claim on the insurance for some of it so fingers crossed we can get some money back. At least I will be getting a lovely new bathroom but it has come at the wrong time. Luckily my dad is lending us the money and is in no hurry for us to pay him back - good old dad!
Saturday we had a barbeque with my parents and my sister, brother in law and my nieces and nephew which was lovely.
Sunday me and Steve laid in the garden sunbathing all day and we even got the paddling pool out and laid in that - it was so warm we're both burnt but don't worry I had my bump covered all day!
Monday we went out bathroom shopping and I tripped over nothing and went flying. Luckily Steve caught me just before I hit the floor but it shook me up and I was crying.
So it was a hectic weekend but we enjoyed it although we had to cancel our 2 meals out!
About me and bump:- bump is growing every day and I am getting lots of lovely kicks all the time. I have no complaints at all, I am loving pregnancy and I am in no discomfort whatsoever which is great.
I have gained 9 lbs now on my pre pregnancy weight which I don't think is bad for 24 weeks. I am noticing my belly is getting a lot of fine hair growing on it and also on my face near my jaw line, thank goodness it's blonde hair, Steve thinks it's really cute! I haven't got any stretch marks yet either - yippee!
This weekend I am out with a friend for a meal Friday night and then Saturday is Steve's track day driving the Lambourghini and on Sunday we are out for Sunday dinner with Steve's parents and grandparents which I'm not looking forward to but at least the food will be nice!
Hope everyone is well, I haven't checked my messages for days now so I will get back to you all when I have more time. Thanks for listening. xx

Thursday, 28 May Our bathroom did that to when my baby was 3 months man it was a pain! It soaked the carpets and we had to have these big fans machines on all day and they made the house so hot I couldn't even sleep. I'm just thankful it was all payed for! Moving right along with the growing bump I am so happy for you words can't even explain. steph mom of 3 beauties x -
Wednesday, 27 May Awww hun poor you! with the bathroom and tripping over i hope your ok sweetie! Hope you get it sorted soon it is bad timing really but things are set to try us hey! i remember when our new bathroom suite we had fitted leaked i'd been at work all day and i noticed when i walked into the kitchen we were in the process of our extention and had the kitchen dining room open plan and the beam between the too above where the breakfast bar was soon to be fitted wasn't quite plastered (thank god!) because i could hear dripping onto metal (the beam!) and saw a puddle diredtly below there was a split in the ceiling and if it had been plastered at that stage it would of gone to mush and need doing again! But nethertheless it was horrible as i went upstairs the bathroom carpet was saturated and it was still flowing it was coming from the cistern and as it was refilling everytime it emptied itself it was gonna keep coming!! So i couldn't stop it so i demanded Mo back home asap to sort it out as im a real worrier and thought the whole ceiling was gonna come through! It was a pain in the butt because i ended up getting the carpet up and starting again so i can't image being pregnant and dealing with it poor you hun! Loads of love steph xxx jen -

Wednesday, 27 May Our master bathroom flooded over the weekend too and ruined the ceiling in our sitting room on the first floor! We're getting a new shower and flooring in our bathroom and of course, new ceiling in the sitting room. I was frustrated because I want to work on the nursery, not the rest of the house, but it will work out. MrsMommy2 -
Wednesday, 27 May Sorry to hear about your bathroom we had bathroom troubles a few weeks ago...but ours was caused by a little boy clogging the drain! A friend of mine had gotten that hair in the same places when she had her son, and it went away not long after she had him. Well glad to hear all (other than the bathroom) is going well! nirvana -
Wednesday, 27 May hmmmm extra downy hairy bits is usually a sign of a baby boy! ;) Supposed to be to do with extra testosterone in you caused by baby....be interesting to see if thats true :)
I had a fall with my first baby at about 6 months, i think the shift in gravity at that stage when the bump really starts to sprout catches us properly off guard! Im just very pleased that steve has superman reflexes and caught you before you actually hit the floor...your hero hehe :)
Im glad all is continuing to go so well for you and that baby is giving lots of kicks...very reassuring :) xx Georgesmummy -
