| 24-6-2009 - 28 Weeks & 1 Day | My mood while writing this blog:Happy Mummy To Be |
Well hello ladies, it feels like ages since I last blogged and it's belly picture day already! How quickly has that come round. I will put a pic up later on today.
Our trip away for our anniversary was a bit of a disaster, all down to me, no one else. We set off and went to the Trafford Centre in Manchester to try and find me a dress for a wedding we're going to in August, we spent 3 hours walking around after a 2 hour 30 minute drive and I was in agony with my back by the time we got to the hotel. As soon as we got in the hotel room I wanted to go home, I felt claustrophobic and panicky.
For those of you who don't know, we went to Gran Canaria after I had my first miscarriage last year and while we were there I started suffering with panic attacks and had to fly home early and I was on beta blockers for 3 months afterwards; since then I find it hard staying away from home. So bless Steve, he brought me straight home Friday night, another 3 hours in the car. I love him so much, he's so understanding.
Anyway, we still had a lovely 4 days off work, we went into town on Saturday and finally found a dress, bag and shoes for the wedding, absolutely gorgeous, can't wait to wear it all. Saturday night we went to a local Bistro for a meal and it was so romantic, we had a lovely night. Sunday we went to Xscape so Steve could go snowboarding and then Monday we went to the Cinema to see Transformers. Last night we went to my parents house for a meal and sat in the back garden until 9pm with the chimnea on, it was a great night and we had such a good laugh. We got loads of flowers and cards for our wedding anniversary, people are just so generous. Steve bought me a bracelet, a filofax and some gorgeous flowers.
So all in all it turned out to be a lovely weekend but I just don't know what I'm going to do about going away in the future, if I can't even stay one night in a hotel in this country how am I ever going to be able to go abroad again?
Well I'm in the last trimester now, YIPPEE! It feels great. I have had a couple of days off work with my back ache but I'm going back tomorrow. I'm doing ok but sitting at my desk all day just makes it hurt so much. I have my 28 week midwife appointment this afternoon so I will blog when I get home and update you all.
Apart from that I don't have much to write about, I'm still loving pregnancy, I've gained a total of 15 lbs now and I am eating far too much but I am planning to diet as soon as baby Hudson arrives so I'll just enjoy stuffing my face for now, if I can't do it whilst I'm pregnant then when can I? I do make sure I eat lots of fruit and veg and healthy things, I'm not just eating junk.
Anyway, thanks for checking in on me, I've got over a hundred messages to catch up on so bear with me.
Lots of love from Helen and baby Hudson xxx
