My mood while writing this blog: Excited and Happy |
Good morning ladies - 29 weeks woohoo!
I can't believe I only have 11 weeks/77 days to go! I'm getting soooo excited.
I had real trouble with my back last week so I had a week off work and I went back yesterday and by 11am I was in agony, my back was killing, I had rib ache and my legs and feet swelled up as I was so hot so I'm going to the doctors this morning for some advice. I'm also thinking of bringing my maternity leave forward as I don't think I can carry on working full time for another 6 and a half weeks. Even though I was bored at home last week I can't sit in agony for 8 hours a day at work so I'm going to have a word with my boss and sort something out with my holidays and maternity leave.
So how is everyone else doing? I can't believe how fast time is going and that tomorrow we will be in July! It's just crazy, it doesn't seem 2 minutes since xmas.
I have so many friends on here that are due in the next few weeks or a bit longer, it makes me so excited and I know that once all of you start going into labour I won't be far behind you! YIPPEE!
I have bought my Fairy Non Bio washing powder and I'm dying to wash all baby Hudson's clothes, blankets, bedding etc but I am trying to put it off so I have something to do when I finish work. It's hard though, I just want to hang it all out on the line and iron it, I think it will make everything seem more real.
My weight gain is still 15lbs but I'm starting to notice that my face, legs, shoulders and arms are getting fat so I'm not liking that, I'm not very tall so when I gain weight you can really notice it. I am eating lots of healthy food but I also treat myself a lot and don't stop myself from having anything I fancy.
My sister and mum are both convinced that baby Hudson is going to weigh at least 8 lbs, I don't know how they know that but I don't mind how much he/she weighs as long as he/she comes out 100% healthy. They are both still convinced it's a boy as well but nobody will know that for sure until baby is here. We have our names picked and I love the names we have for a boy or girl. Only 11 weeks until we find out! ARGH.
Ok that's enough gabbling for today, hope I haven't bored you. I will do a belly picture tomorrow and put it up. Hope everyone is well xxx

Wednesday, 1 Jul Hi Helen. I f you can hold out on starting your maternity leave then DEFINATLY do unless you aren't planning on going back to work. I wish i'd held off longer before i left as the earlier you leave the sooner you have to go back and when baby is actually here you want to be with them for as long as possible. I went at 36 weeks and i regret that now, wish i'd gone right up to my due date! Hope you are well, you definatly look it. Lovin your profile pic too! Baby Hudson is gonna be soooo cute with you two as it's parents x ~Babylove~ -

Tuesday, 30 Jun Almost there! Sorry to hear your back is bothering you & your starting to swell. I swelled horribly with my son I developed toxemia in the last trimester (that they didn't detect until AFTER I had my son grrr) but it was aweful i'm only 5'2" and the week after my son was born I lost close to 55lbs of water weight I felt GREAT it was aweful though I hope I don't get it again w/ this pregnancy. But a little swelling in pregnancy is normal. How exciting to start washing baby's clothes! I can't wait to start buying stuff for our new baby we're waiting until the 24th when we find out the gender! jen -
Tuesday, 30 Jun I wonder with your sudden swelling if your blood pressure is okay...make sure your midwife checks that for you! Try and watch your salt and sodium intake and that should help somewhat with the swelling too. Take it easy, and hopefully you can get soemthing worked out with your leave! Let us know what you find out! princessvjc -

Tuesday, 30 Jun I can't wait to hear the names!! I thought you were going to include them and I kept reading...you tricked me! Are you keeping it a surprise? I did with my first. This time, I think we have the name, but we've only told a few. Not sure if we'll announce it or not. Anwyay, I hate to hear about the swelling. It's so hot here, I've begun to swell a little, too. My doctor says to increase protein and not quite so many carbs. I hope you get some good advice. Please share if you do! xoxo expecting-2b-patient -
Tuesday, 30 Jun Things are moving right along and in another week you'll be in week 30... I can not believe it! I want to see a picture of Baby Hudson's clothes closet! honeymoon-baby -
Tuesday, 30 Jun you know that you're entitled to an extra 5 minute break for every hour you work on top of your normal break whilst pregnant at dpow.. no bugger informed me of that but apparently it's true.. in an 8 hour day thats 40 mins.. check it out with HR but possibly you could finish earlier one day a week if you can accrue it throughout the week it's an extra 3 hours a week anyway.. katey25 -
Tuesday, 30 Jun I was just saying on Rachels blog yesterday - what am I gonna do without all of fab blogs from you guys!! the weeks are ticking down so fast! As for washing bubz's things - at the hospital when they give you your bounty pack after having them inside is a bottle of comfort pure.... the smell makes me smile now and i'm still using the same flavour now! Get some it's lurrrrsh!
Here's a myth I heard.... if your face gets fat when your pregnant you're having a girl!! Well... it was the case for me! who knows? 11 weeks and you'll find out woohoooo! x loubyxxx -
Tuesday, 30 Jun I hear you with the swelling feet. It's bloody awfull. When you get home, if you can try and put your feet up above your heart, that will hopefully bring the swelling down! It wont totally go but it does help! Also drink plenty of water, coz if you have got water retention as funny as it sounds it also helps with the swelling! I used to put mine in cold water, as they was that tight from the swelling they used to feel like they was burning! Bless you. You surprise yourself how you do actually cope with it all! And when baby h comes, it's all just a distance memeory! I know that dosent help though at the time when your feeling crappy! I know it's hard for you, but put your feet up and rest! xxx nirvana -
