My mood while writing this blog: Tired but excited |
Hey ladies
How are we all this week?
I still find it hard to believe I'm 31 weeks pregnant today! Woohoo!
Where did last week go? The time is just disappearing before my eyes and I'm not getting much done even though I'm at home. Last night I wrote myself a big list of all the things I want to do around the house before baby Hudson arrives and today I've just looked at it and thought hmmmm I'll start tomorrow. Ha ha.
My energy seems to have just left me and the slightest little thing is wearing me out. I get up at 8am every day and have breakfast and by 9am I feel horrible, my heart pounds and I can't breathe properly and I have no energy but I make myself take Jack out for a walk each morning for at least half an hour. Then I feel shattered for the rest of the day but when I go to bed at 11pm each night I just lay there wide awake. 2:30am this morning I got up and had a cup of warm milk and read my book for half an hour and then I eventually got to sleep around 3am but was up and down to the toilet until 8am when I got up so I'm hardly getting any sleep but I still can't get to sleep the next night and the next. I suppose this is natures way of getting me ready for night feeds and exhaustion when the baby comes. It's all worth it though, I don't care how tired I get I'm still the happiest woman alive. Only 9 weeks until I meet my much longed for baby!
I am really dying to know now if my baby is a boy or girl, now it's getting close I am soooo intrigued!
My brother in law has been here again this week finishing off my new bathroom, it will be finished today apart from the fact that Steve measured it wrong so we're 2 boxes of tiles short and they take 4 weeks to be delivered, how annoying is that, I have a beautiful new bathroom which looks fantastic but there are no tiles around the window, it's going to really annoy me now until it's done.
Starting tomorrow I am going to start washing baby Hudson's clothes, blankets, towels, bedding etc so that will keep me busy for the next week or so with the ironing and getting my bits together for my hospital bag. Then I am going to clean the house from top to bottom over the next couple of weeks and clear out all cupboards, draws and wardrobes so none of it will need to be done again for a long time. I can't wait! Who would have thought I would ever get excited about washing and cleaning?
We haven't got any plans for this weekend but I'm at the midwife tomorrow and then going to Loubyxxx's for tea so that will be a nice day. Next week is my work leaving do meal so I'm kind of looking forward to that to catch up with all the girls from work and say a proper goodbye.
That's all from me anyway, sorry I've gabbled but I'm just getting more and more excited each day!
P.S Baby Hudson has hiccups every evening now and me and Steve love watching and feeling it. Every time Steve puts his head on my belly the baby kicks him or moves around loads. It's just so wonderful!
Lots of love from Helen and baby Hudson xxx

Tuesday, 14 Jul I bet your excitment is really building now... getting so close! Enjoy getting things ready for him/her! Speaking of... I totally understand the wondering much more as you near baby's birthday as to the gender, I did the same with Ethan. Have a good week 31 :) derra1976 -
Tuesday, 14 Jul Clinton used to get hiccups at least twice a day and it was always the funniest feeling, LOL. kelleybelley -
Tuesday, 14 Jul Did you ask your doctor why you feel that way every morning? I feel the same way, usually mid-morning right after I get to work, I am out of breath and my heart is racing and I'm burning up and dizzy, I guess it's just a normal part of pregnancy? And my nights are like yours too, but I think all of us 31 weekers are there! I think you're having a GIRL because of all the nausea you had. You look great, I'm glad things are good. We're almost there! Georgesmummy -
Tuesday, 14 Jul I loved the cleaning, sorting, tidying up before George came, i'm as sad as you don't worry! I also like making lists, lol! Look forward to next belly pic going up. Your right about the sleepless nights preparing for you to cope with night feeds etc, it's horrible though as your up all alone and it's so quiet and all you wanna do is go to sleep! I remember it well! George is 1 today! We've been to a farm park which was lovely X alijo -

Tuesday, 14 Jul So glad to hear all is well. And I too experienced that awful awake and night deal, but yes, I do believe that is natures way of preparing you for the enevitable nightly feeds and cries!!! You will get used to two or three hours of sleep then up for two hours, then sleep for three hours....it seems like you won't, but you will! liz82 -
Tuesday, 14 Jul I hope you and baby Hudson keep doing well stepheni775 -
Tuesday, 14 Jul That is so wierd when Victor would put his hand on my belly every single time Anais would stop moving. I knew you would want to know the sex of the baby sooner or later LoL. haileys mommy -
Tuesday, 14 Jul Ah girl, once the baby gets here time gets away from you even more. I have so much to do in our house (we moved in right before she was born) & somehow I never have time to do it all! Hailey got hiccups too while I was pregnant, she now gets them all the time, around the same time that she got them while I was pregnant.. crazy!
Only 9 more weeks momma! :D baby-momma09 -

Tuesday, 14 Jul Ahhhh that was such a lovely read life sounds good! It's lovely feeling and watching the tum when baby has hiccups isn't it? Danyal had them alot in the womb and does now its a shame because nothing we do really helps and he gets soo angry with them at times!
Your right its nice being at home and it will be nice for you to get everything ready and done and dusted before baby arrives and each thing you do you feel great and have a feeling of accomplishment but take it easy as if you have been feeling so tired like that it means you need to slow down and rest more which i know is boring but all i did in the end i took the advise of the midwife and rested in the day as i too wasn't sleeping at night it is your body's way of getting you prepared for night feeds with baby etc... and you will have to try getting some shut eye in the day now aswell as when baby's born they tell you to do it whilst baby sleeps and you are tempted to stay awake and do other things wahing etc... but its creeps up on you in the end so you have to cave and rest all the best steph x x Emauk -
Tuesday, 14 Jul good luck hun..not long now...I'm the same..I have to get things done earlier than you because I have to fit it around a toddler..so if I leave it till 30+ weeks..i'll never get it done..lol..I do keep looking at the house and the empty cuboard thinking...oh..it'll wait for another day or two..lol..doesn't help Mark has decided to buy a massive shed..and do it all in 2 days..(good luck to him..lol)..yeah..the sleep thing..don't worrie..when baby is about..6ish months or so..you'll get a bit more sleep..lol..take care..Xxx tto -
Tuesday, 14 Jul These next nine weeks are going to be some of you fondest memories ever. Nothing compares to the anticipation of your first child. Of course, when baby is actually here, is pretty happy- but those memories are not all fabulous- the exhaustion, crying, pain from recovery. These nine weeks are perfect- imagining life with your new baby, all is ideal, and happy like a hallmark commercial. Enjoy these next nine weeks, nothing in your life will be as sweet. (Don't get me wrong, having baby here is pretty awesome- but it's not rainbows and butterfles, it's reality. But now you can live in fantasy, which is much better!) Hope this makes sense. christinesc -
Tuesday, 14 Jul Too bad we live on different continents because we could chat during the night. I am up so many times to go to the bathroom it's ridiculous! Ah well, like you said, I guess it's just another way to prepare for night feedings and such. Glad you are doing well. xoxo Heidi Boo -
Tuesday, 14 Jul Hi Helen - I have the same probs sleeping as you unless I have a mid afternoon nap for an hour or so. Even if I don't drop off to sleep, just laying still with my eyes closed seems to do the trick. Hope that helps!
By the way - my bub seems to have hiccups every evening too! And the weirdest thing is I can feel them in my bum!!! It's quite unnerving! x arkansastechmommy -
Tuesday, 14 Jul I cant believe you are already 31 weeks.... Seems like everything is going good for you... Besides the bathroom tile. That would annoy me too, but soon you'll have a fully complete new bathroom =) Have fun @ your midwife appointment tommorrow. angelsong -
