My mood while writing this blog: Grrrreeeaaatttt! |
Hi ladies
How is everyone? Sorry I haven't been on for a while.
33 Weeks, 1 Day today!
Just a little update although I haven't been up to much lately:- All my baby washing and ironing is done and my hospital bag is packed so I'm all set to go (although not yet)!
Yesterday I think I had a few Braxton Hicks, I just felt a bit crampy on and off during the day but they weren't bad. It kind of made me excited as I know how close I'm getting now.
On Friday I had my work leaving do meal, it was really nice and they got me one of those lovely nappy cake things, I don't want to open it though as it looks so nice as it is. I'm meeting up with another girl from work in August as she couldn't make the meal last week.
I feel ok at the minute although I am pretty uncomfortable some days and I don't get much quality sleep as I have to go to the toilet 5 or 6 times through the night. I honestly don't know how some of you are still working at this point in pregnancy; when I wake up in the mornings I feel sicky and ache from head to toe, I couldn't handle going in to work. Just walking up and down the stairs tires me out so well done to all of you who are still working.
Baby Hudson is on the move constantly, I still love watching my belly move around and trying to guess which bits are which. I tend to have the baby's bum stuck on the right under my ribs most the time which is quite painful but all worth it.
I'm still not worried about labour, people keep asking me if I'm getting nervous but I'm not. I know it's not going to be a piece of cake and I know it's going to be painful but I am just so excited to meet my baby that I'm not going to let the labour put me off. I just can't believe in maybe 7 weeks my baby will be here. ARGH it's just amazing.
Anyway, sorry this isn't a very interested blog but I don't do much nowadays that's very interesting! Hope you're all well and happy.
Helen and baby Hudson xx

Wednesday, 5 Aug My GF that was due around the same time as you just had her baby. A bit early, I was looking forward to seeing her big belly. We're teachers so we don't see each other much during the summer- so I haven't seen her in a month. Anyway, I caught up on your blogs- I breastfed exclusively for ten months while working. My advice is to drink 100 oz of water everyday- very important, keep it up even when it hurts (once you pass that it's glorious!), and take acidophilous pills towards the end of your pregnancy to ward off thrush (miserable). It's the good bacteria in yogurt- my 1st got thrush shortly after birth, the second one didn't (I took the pills this time). Thrush is a pain to get rid of and really hurts. Keep me posted- I've followed you since ttc and all the horrible m/cs. We don't converse much- but I can't wait for your baby to come. My GF didn't find out what hers was either- it's a boy. dennisse -

Wednesday, 29 Jul Oh how much I miss going thru what your going thru right now!! And all that peeing in the middle of the night is just your body's way of preparing you for all the times you'll be up at night with baby Hudson. I know it's not fair that it starts this early, but once you get used to it, it won't be too bad. You'll get used to 4 hours of sleep at night, and learn to sleep when baby sleep during the day too. Enjoy it all!! nirvana -
Wednesday, 29 Jul ohhh babies bum being under your ribs on the right is usually a sign of a boy as they prefer that side for some strange reason :) I said boy so now im thinking more and more BOY...cant wait to find out if im right!!
Glad youre doing so well, 7 weeks is no time at all xx Shelley- -
