My mood while writing this blog: Excited |
Hello ladies
38 weeks today, only 2 weeks to go! Well what a busy week I had last week. There was so much going on the week has flown by.
My friend had her baby on Sunday. He was 8lb 3oz and he's absolutely gorgeous, we went to see him yesterday and it got me even more excited about baby Hudson's arrival. We went out and bought him a couple of outfits and it was so exciting buying blue things, instead of just the cream/white/yellow clothes we have been buying for baby H. I can't wait to go out and buy blue or pink clothes for our baby. I only usually look at girls things but there was some lovely boys things in the shops.
Her baby is lovely with gorgeous skin like a peach and lovely blonde hair. I couldn't sleep last night as I was so excited about our baby arriving. She had an ok labour and has told me it wasn't as bad as she thought even though he was back to back and she had to be cut and stitched up and he was vacuumed out in the end as he was stuck. She looked great yesterday and had only had him 24 hours before. Well done Karen! She's breastfeeding as well and just taking everything in her stride, I hope I do as well as her. She hasn't moaned one bit and is just in her own little bubble. It's lovely to see.
I haven't got much to do this week so I'm hoping it doesn't drag, we've been so busy lately that the weeks have flown by but I'm not so sure the next 2 weeks will go that quickly. I'm well ready for baby H to arrive but I haven't had any signs yet so I'm sure he/she is quite comfy in there for now. I still have plenty of energy and people keep seeing me and saying I can't believe how well you look and how active you are when you only have 2 weeks left! It's great!
I'm going out shopping and for coffee with my friend in a bit so I better go and get myself looking human! We're also going to the cinema tonight to watch a horror film in 3D, Steve is hoping it shocks me into labour ha ha!
Good luck to everyone who is due in the next few weeks, I can't wait to read everyone's birth stories.
Love Helen and big baby bump Hudson xxx

Thursday, 3 Sep Haha! fab on the horror film.. could work too! glad to see you're feeling good weird to think that your baby will definately be here in 3 weeks at the most! like i've said before i love life with my little girl but how i wish i could be back where you are to capture every last second all over again.. it's honestly amazing.. i think about the birth practically every night when i get into bed.. it relaxes me weirdly! and i wasn't even one of those lucky ones where the baby just flew out (though i felt very lucky once i finally got an epidural after 20 +hours!!) lol. that first glimpse of your little one.. you'll never get over it! xxx vicki--mommy of 4 -

Wednesday, 2 Sep Keep active hun, its the only thing that makes time continue to move, plus you are more likely to see Baby H sooner if you keep moving. I will be honest, labour was painful but no where near as bad as I thought it was going to be. You will take it all in your stride because you know it will all be worth it :) I am so so excited for you and Steve, you are going to make wonderful parents. I know you get lots of advice but here is a honest bit from me.......enjoy your time with Steve and SLEEP!!!!! proud.mummy.of.3xxx -

Tuesday, 1 Sep you could go anytime!!! i had my son at 39 weeks =o) i was just about done being pregnant and everyone i worked with told me to go home that night and have sex... the next morning i woke up with contractions. im not saying it always works, but it did for us =o) i cant wait to see pictures of your sweet little baby!!!! heidismummy -
Tuesday, 1 Sep aww bet you are so excited! i know what you mean about buying neutral clothes, they arent as cute and also i think they are a bit boysih, which will be fine if you have a boy! also i would just advise not to read too many birth stories, people either lie and say 'it wasnt too bad' or they go to the other extreme and say 'i thought i was dying'. its also really difficult when you have been through labour to tell an expected mother what it is like because you do not want to scare them but at the same time you want to be honest, so i imagine your friend was perhaps trying to not worry you too much!! when i was pregnant with my daughter all i ever heard were bad birth stories and i was terrified going into labour!! but i hope it goes as well for you as labour can go! how nice it will be for your baby and your friends baby to be so close in age!! best of luck!! nirvana -
