My mood while writing this blog:
Excited!!!!

Hello ladies

Here I am at 39 weeks, only 7 days until my due date.

I haven't had any signs yet that baby Hudson its on his/her way so I'm sure he/she is really comfy in there for now.

I am well ready for him/her to come, I dream about it every night and in every dream the baby is a girl!

I am already getting texts and phone calls from people asking me if there's any news yet and I'm thinking give me chance I'm not even at my due date yet! And like we wouldn't tell everyone if there was some news! We will be announcing it to the world when the time comes.

I'm still not scared about labour I am just sooooo excited. Bring it on! I will probably be a wreck once it starts but I know that at the end of it my precious long awaited baby will be here so I can cope with anything.

Loubyxxx is making me a curry tomorrow night to see if that will bring on labour, last night we went to watch a scary film at the cinema in 3D but that didn't shock me into labour. I've been bouncing on an exercise ball and have fallen off once but it was just funny, I didn't hurt myself! Steve is desperate to try sex to induce labour but he'll have to wait a few more days and see just how desperate I get, that's the last thing I want at the minute.

Haven't really got anything else to report, I'm putting up a 39 week belly pic now if you want to have a look.

If anyone has any tips to bring labour on please let me know!

I'm at the midwife tomorrow so I will send a message after that xxx

I tried "natural induction" (sex, bumpy ride)and i am convinced there is nothing that works...when that little bundle of joy is ready he or she will come. You will do great through labor....I just know it, you have wanted this for so long and its here and could happen any day now! I had my babies without pain medicine, and I was induced. I have heard induction is more painful than natural labor but I say "BRING ON THE INDUCTIONS" Labor dust to you and the very best of luck....I am excited for you

I am so excited for your part! Yes, my bet is on a girl too, but hey, I have had a surprise on a prediction before! Good luck hun! Can't wait to find out if it is a boy or girl and if mum and baby are well and united at last! :-) I am looking forward to your face baby Hudson!

I would say walk, but my sister who is a nurse says sex or castor oil! In Florida on vacation now, but I'll check in on you from time to time, good luck and can't wait to see baby H!

Yup im afraid i have to agree, a curry a quickie and a walk always worked wonders for me lol, might be the last thing you feel like but it works wonders to soften things up, ive never gone much past 38 weeks with any of mine.You might be dreaming girl but i still think youre having a boy! If you are having a girl youve carried very neatly and im very jealous lolBest of luck sweetie, i cant believe how this has flown by.Baby Hudson will be out in the world in no time, you must be so very excited!! Other labour inducing myths ive heard of include pineapple, figs, nipple tweaking and erm... masturbation induced orgasms lol.....GOOD LUCK!! xx

I know people have said this before...so I am just going to agree---SEX SEX SEX! Ha ha. With all three of my girls, we had sex and I started having contractions...and then my water broke! :) Good luck sweetheart! You are almost there!

My friend was 1 day overdue,she tried nipple stimulation in a hot bath for 30 minutes and went into full blown labour 1 hour later at 2:30 am and her baby was born at 8am.Sex realy does work,the semen contains some ingredient that speeds it up.Uhm long walks helps to,one foot on the curb the other on the street.Its so close now hunni,cant wait till baby h is here.:-D

sex is a good way to induce labour ( or it can be) because of the prostaglandin (sp?) that is secreted....but as if that's something comfortable for you?!?!?!?! we were on a ban for over 4 months due to a low lying placenta that has now moved thank god, and we had been told a few weeks ago, to go nuts! sadly it is way to uncomfortable for me at this point, so will have to wait a while longer!the curry sounds good...also you and steve could plan a nice dinner out, and murphy's law will dictate that the baby will come that night! i can't believe you are sooooo close, i'm so excited for you and steve and of course Jack....ps my older son went to build-a-bear yesterday to make a bear for his baby brother and he was allowed to make one for himself...he chose a jack russell that he has named Jack :)hugsroberta

I had a curry the night before my first son was born but to be honest I think it was just coinsidence ! Babies come when they are ready ! Try to relax and put your feet up ans sleep as much as you can as soon you will be a Mummy and everything will change ......for the better ofcourse ! x

I tried everything but sex but only because hubby was in another country lol nothing worked for me so I say give sex a try! I think you're going to have a lil girl too, how exciting the time has almost come yay! Oh yea just remembered my friend saying she pumped both her boobs each for 2 hours and she went into labour the next day! She also said it only works with an electric pump. Good luck sweetie! xx

I am a nurse and my next door neighbor was 39 weeks pregnant and asked me how to induce labor. She was not dialated or effaced at all. I told her to have sex. The Dr ended up inducing her BUT she went from 0 cm dialated to 2 cm dialated. So even if sex doesnt put you in labor it might dialate you some and make the laboring process shorter.

OMG 1 week sex is the best thing hun it put that baby in and is good to get him/her out. Isn't that funny that people check in like that, even though you aren't due! It's like they don't realize the annoyance it causes, as though you aren't thinking about it enough already! I suppose they are just excited : ) Bring on labor? Yeah, I'd say have sex. The prostoglandins in semen help ripen the cervix (makes it soft). If you orgasm, it can stimulate contractions....sorry if that was TMI. Otherwise, sit back and enjoy your last minutes or days or however long of this pregnancy...your little joy will be here soon and we are all very excited for you!

i honestly believe that there is no real way to bring on labor, it's just when the baby is ready. I tried everything, every time, and nothing ever worked. I know it's hard but just try to enjoy it, baby will be here so soooooon! I'm so excited for you! I still think it's a boy :) much love xoxoxox

i'm so happy to see all is well and i'm getting so happy for you guys,i have heard eggplant parmesan,spicy food,castor oil and definitely sex,the morning of thanksgiving back in 2006 hubby and i had sex and right after my water broke,alycia was on nov 26th but she came on nov 23rd thanksgiving day,well good luck and all the best.

We tried everything to bring on labour too !!!...i kind of believe that none of this actually works until the time is right so to speak !!I haven't been on for a few days and was so sure that when i came on today there was a message to say you had started labour :)Well any day now Hun,turn off the mobile and just try to rest up as much as you can.Big hugs Helen xxx

See if the midwife will do a sweep for you, there's no gaurantee but it wouldn't hurt to try. Also, lots of walking, not only will it help bring on baby but it also helps with labor and with keeping you busy. Take care hun. Can't wait to hear baby Hudson has arrived.

Congrats on being 39 weeks! :) I'm so happy for you!I was the same way, determinded to get the baby out! I bounced on an exercise ball all the time, even had sex but the only thing that worked for me was drinking castor oil. I didn't take alot because I was scared of the side effects, but I mixed about 1-2 tablespoons of it in a little cup of applesauce. I started having contractions about 6-7 hours later and had my baby that day! If you get desperate you could try it!

oooh gosh minkymoo i can tell you have never been through labour before! i havent come across a mum yet who would say she is looking forward to labour! infact sometimes they say its worse because they know what they are going to go through! but what i will say is that i found it easier by not knowing what i was having as i was so desperate to meet my baby, she was a girl, and i had loads of dreams about her! i tried castor oil when i was 10 days overdue and it definately started my labour pain! best of luck!

hi helen, sex is good it worked for me with my second, came a wk early!. but as ladylock02 says its alot of fun! just keep busy, try not to sit around as this wont help. when you see midwife ask her to check and see if you are sofening yet if you are then i would highly recomend sex, if you dont feel up to this then see if she will give you a sweep it really hurts but does work. hope it happens soon lots of labour dust x

Pumping worked GREAT for me!! I had my little girl on her due date! I started pumping around 37 weeks too, also helped when I had her, I had MORE than enough milk for her... with my son, I didn't pump and he refused to nurse because there wasn't anything there for him... Good luck!!

Sorry can't help you out there I had to have a c-section so Wyatt was here right at 39 weeks reguardless and so will Owen when the time comes! So i'm no help in that sence friends of mine have done walking, squatting, sex, walking in the pool, bouncing on a exercise ball. Has your cervix started to dialate at all yet? A friend of mine was 2 weeks over due with her second baby and everybody says the 2nd is suppose to come faster then the first. So I guess they come when they are ready! Good Luck hopefully it won't be to much longer....I still think boy for you!

I went over with both of mine and tried everything. I know it can be frustrating but just enjoy these last few weeks cos you do really miss him/her being all toastie in yr tummy and baby will come when its ready xx

lol sex is deffinately the best to induce, i think you have to be a little on your way for anything to really work. Nothing worked for me by 39 weeks and i really wasnt in the mood, first time we had in a couple of weeks. poor bloke lol and guess what had the whole of my show at once. 14hours later eloise was here. lol x

If you do get that desperate and turn to sex its more funny then nefin else haha!! sooo not attractive but least u can feel close and have a giigle at same time my mate did it every day week leadin up to her baby and she went into labour bang on her due date! Good luck x

Soo close! I had Hailey at 39wks3days! :D But we tried sex, spicy food, seems like everything.. and it didn't work! She decided to come, whenever SHE was ready! And so will baby Hudson. No matter how long it may feel that you have left, it's not much longer! :D Baby can't stay in there forever!!

Yay week 39 - so close now!! I tried EVERYTHING to try and induce labour, and when I was overdue my midwife gave me 3 sweeps!! Nothing worked and I had to be induced, I was overdue by 15 days - Baby will come when he/she is ready - I would enjoy the last week or weeks that you have to yourself :-) I hated all the texts from people asking if baby was here, as if you wouldn't tell anyone!! Madness!!! So just enjoy 'YOU' time and good luck for the birth - I wasn't scared either and I'd do it again :-)
