| 31-12-2009 - 15 Weeks & 3 Days | My mood while writing this blog:Settled |
Hi everyone
Just wanted to come on and say a belated merry xmas to you all and HAPPY NEW YEAR for tomorrow.
We had a fantastic xmas, I was extremely excited about it this year with us having Joshua now. We all got spoilt rotten and we've had a lovely time having family parties. Tonight we're going round the corner to my sisters with my parents to bring in the new year.
Joshua started waking in the night last week after sleeping through for over 6 weeks so I started him on baby rice a few days ago and he loves it. I'm going to keep him on the rice until he's 17 weeks and then start giving him pureed fruit and veg in small quantities. He's still waking in the night for a bottle and he guzzles it down so we are trying to get into a new routine where we can fill him up before he goes to bed. I suppose it's just trial and error but boy is it a shock to the system getting up at 4am every morning to feed him after 6 weeks of getting a full nights sleep.
He is a very happy contented little boy and I just can't get enough of him. We are only apart for an hour or so each week and I wouldn't have it any other way.
He's started trying to roll over when we lay him on our way now, he shoves his bum up in the air and is very strong. We've been out and bought him a high chair and I can't wait for him to be sturdy enough to go in it and have his little meals. It's exciting that he is growing up and advancing but I still miss he tiny baby that I gave birth to if that makes any sense. We watched the videos last night of when he was just 2 hours old and I can't believe how much he has changed. Where does the time go? Before you know it he will be crawling and walking and starting to talk!
Joshua is also very vocal, he lays and talks for hours on end, he doesn't make any sense obviously but I love listening to it.
It's been lovely having Steve off over xmas, he's booked some extra time off so he doesn't go back until 11th Jan which is great. It's so much easier when he's at home with us.
So ladies. I really hope you all have a wonderful 2010 and for those still trying to conceive I really hope this is the year for you. Happy new year from the Hudsons xxx
