My mood while writing this blog: Confused/Scared |
Ladies....I have a huge concern that I need help with...So you know how we are supposed to sleep on our side (preferably the left) well for the last day and a half it seems that what ever side I sleep on, that hand goes numb. I know you thinking. DUH, it is because you are laying on it but....that is the thing...I am NOT laying that hand...and it doesn't matter what side I sleep on, it happens. So I found that I end up sleeping on my back because my hand doesn't go numb then BUT i heard that it was bad for the baby.... Please help me understand what may be happening.

Friday, 5 Jun I did this severely with my last pregnancy....and it is called Pregnancy induced carpal tunnel syndrome :) Its not dangerous . . . just very annoying and somewhat painful. You may find that propping your hand up on a pillow or even a wrist brace can help.
My doctor explained to me just like this. When you are pregnant and you are holding excess fluid in your tissues that adds just enough pressure on your nerves of your hands to give that sensation. Im sorry I know it sucks... nadz31 -
