22-7-2009 - 28 week appt update

My mood while writing this blog: Much better than yesterday

Greetings Ladies,
So I went in for my 28 wk appt and glucola test (2nd one this pregnancy because I have PCOS) and while it wasn't a walk in the park, it wasn't as bad as when I had it done the first time. I have to say the fruit punch flavor is much better than the orange..anyway, I made the mistake of telling my doctor that I had pressure in my Hoo Hoo and felt like my baby was kicking OUT of me and so she was like 'Okay, off with your bottoms, I am going to do a pelvic exam to make sure your cervix is closed'. I was sooooo not mentally prepared for that. Word of advice for pelvic exams: Better get used to it b/c they only get more frequent and you have GOT TO BREATHE!!!!

Ohhh and another thing, I got weighed and I haven't gained any weight since my last appt. 4 weeks ago but the baby is measuring right on target at 28......so total pregnancy I have gained +2.... The nurse said the doctor may want me to put on more weight but when I saw the doctor, she was like, "You are fine and the baby is growing on target. The baby is taking what he needs and everything looks great." I have to go get another Ultrasound in 2 weeks because I have a fibroid that they want to check to see if it is growing along with my baby. She said my baby was about 2-3 lbs, and I told her I felt everytime the baby gained an ounce, literally. Feels more like he is already 5-6 lbs, no joke and we have 12 weeks left!!! I feel all the extra weight in my back. I am LITERALLY dragging my feet as I walk. MY BACK IS KILLING ME!!!! I don't know how I am going to get by once I go back to work (as a teacher) in 2 weeks (walking up and down hallways and standing on my feet)....I am NOT looking forward to it. I mean I like getting paid but I like it even better to get paid to be off like I am for the summer. Think of it like shopping with someonelse's money and keeping your money ALL to yourself (No feeling like it) =)

Okay, enough of my randomness and ranting (that is how I am), I am off to take a nap (YAY...I love NAPS).
