27-9-2009 - SICK and TIRED of being in pain

My mood while writing this blog:
Depressed

Hello Ladies,

I am seriously tired of being pregnant and don't know if it is my hormones but I am depressed, I think. Everyone thinks that I am not happy about my baby but I am just tired and I hurt all of the time. I have so many things to be happy about, but I am just in BLAH state of mind right now! Is there a such thing as Pre-Partum depression. I guess I am just Sick of hurting...ya know???? I think I am having prelabor (the labor before the real thing ---I think I made that word up) because I am having these dull pains (cramps) where my ovaries normally would be if I weren't pregnant (found out today that they have been pushed up) that go and come that are irregular for the most part and the most frustrating thing is ... I can't explain. (TMI ALERT) I thought b/c I am majorly constipated and have been for the last week on/off that it was that but then I had a BM and thought the pressure was going to subside and it did for like minutes. I called the midwife and explained to her that I have been feeling like this since 1 am and she said unless my belly tightened up and I felt it at the top of belly, I wasn't in labor. I just want answers and relief. I was 1.5 cm dialated on Friday ( major disappointment b/c I haven't changed since last Friday) and.....tired!!! What do you ladies think is happening? Sorry to be such a party pooper. I know I haven't blogged in almost 8 weeks but.....IDK, I am just over being pregnant.

Is anyone else feeling these pains or emotions?

If it makes you feel any better, I think we're all pretty sick of it now. Keep your chin up cuz it really is almost over now!! :-D

I'm right here with you hun. So sick of this whole pregnant thing! I'm having killer BHs that feel like real contractions, only they're not regular, and I know I'm not dialating. They don't even check you for dialation over here until you're in "labour", so we don't even have the satisfaction of knowing we're progressing. Best thing you can do is walk, walk, walk. And climb plenty of stairs. I did that when I went into labour with my son and it helped.

Hey girl, if you think you're having contractions but aren't really sure if its the real thing or not try drinking a glass of win, and if they are still there after you've had time for the wine to get into your system, start timing them. I was told that by a friend who has a 1 yr old, thats what her doctor told her to do. I think everyone is tired of being pregnant, but the ending result (our babies) will def. be worth it, just hang in there, you can make it to the end!!

I am with you. I have been crying for days now. Everything upsets me and I think its b/c I am ready to have this baby and be done with this pregnancy. I had 'pre-labor" last night - belly tightening so hard it woke me up but didn't really "hurt". I had back pain and a dull ache in my pelvis and thighs - another woman on IAP said it was ligaments stretching. Just try to relax and take it easy. If its too hard on you - you can ask your OB to induce you and they will. I know women that have done that. They had anxiety/depression. Call your midwife again tomorrow.

I am telling you we are so on the same page. I have been contracting 5-10 min apart for the last 3 days.PAINFUL ASS CONTRACTIONS and my cervix shows NO SIGN OF CHANGE. I just cried b/c im like damn im going through this pain for nothing. And as far as "pre postpardom" there is a such thing. It's just pregnancy depression. I have it and i am currently taking Zoloft for it. It has helped a lot as far as my attitude toward my pregnancy.
