25-5-2008 - had ultrasound and.....

My mood while writing this blog: tired and freaked out

Well, we went in for an ultrasound on Monday, and they found the sack and the baby measured 6 wks and 6 days, so just about what I thought. Good heartbeat, yay! Anyway, then he saw another black area below the sack (sacks look like a black area amidst the white stuff) which was smaller. Right away I wondered, what is that, another sack??? Yikes! He looked closely and said, how do you feel about twins? I almost cried and my husband burst out laughing! The doctor said it was empty and small, and he thinks it's just an area that has not filled up yet in the uterus. I didn't feel much better! (frankly, I'm afraid I couldn't handle twins...) He says they can look again in a couple weeks and see if it's bigger or has gone away, but he's willing to bet there is only one. Still freaking out! Really tired lately and queasy but not too sick. I'm hungry all the time! Other than that, I was really glad to see my baby is doing well. I'm going in on Thursday for the first check up. We'll see!

the doctors could always test your blood levels to see how fast they are going .
