20-7-2008 - Baby Acne

Well everything is okay so far with Jordan. Haven't gotten the results back on his thyroid. I'll probably hear something tomorrow. His baby acne has showed up and I hate it! I know it's normal and that it will pass but the way it looks really bothers me. I've been using my Great Great Grandmother's old secret to clear it up. He also has that yellow crusty cradle cap looking stuff in his eyebrows. I've been making sure to wash his eyebrows really good with the baby wash so now it's starting to go away. It used to be completely under both eyebrows but now it's only in the hairs closest to the center of his face. I read online about putting olive oil on it and brushing the flakes away but that seems like it would make it worse. I'm not going to put oil on his face. I'll just keep it clean and let it finish doing what it's going to do. Either way he's still picture perfect to me.

He will be a month old on Monday. He was 9 lbs 8 oz at his last checkup.

Awww I had a similar problem with KJ and I asked my ped about it and he wrote me a script. The medicine is called Desonide Lotion. It worked beautifully. I'm sure your lil one will free of the Baby Acne in no time.
