23-10-2009 - HCG Levels Driving Me Crazy

My doc told me that my hcg levels were 53,000. She said I was at least 8 weeks along. I've been doing some research on my own trying to figure out how far I am (because I'm too impatient to wait for my ultrasound). I keep finding different information! On one site it says I could be between 16-29 weeks. Sixteen may be reasonable but no more than that!!! I just gave birth in May! Then on other sites I read that high levels could mean twins. I refuse to have twins!!!!!!!! LOL My body hurt so bad when I was pregnant with one I don't know how I'd survive being pregnant with two! God bless those women that have gone though it!!!! And the woman who had 8! OMG! Forget it! I'm just going crazy over here! I have no idea what to think!!!!! Can anyone shed some light?

I got pregnant in June and I am now 21 weeks. You probably can tell if your that far along. How could they not give you an u/s immediately since they know you are preggers and unsure of when this happened? Are you happy to be preggers so fast after the 1st baby?
