| 30-3-2009 - The money we saved this month and how we did it | My mood while writing this blog:AMAZING |
Like everyone knows times are hard and saving money is a must. We have no clue how things are going to look next week let alone tomorrow. I've been cracking the whip and we have been on no extra spending for a whole month now. It feels amazing when we look around and we are happy and in one peice and we are able to take all the money that we have saved, found, or found better use for.
Things we/I have been doing. We usually eat out every Monday at our local deli and then go get our groceries. Not this month and we saved $80. I have also been taking the girls for walks when the weather has been nice and collected pop cans in this month I collected $35. Over spring break I took more kids I didn't really want to but knew that I would be happy with the out come I made $190 extra. I've also saved my two JFK checks and that was $40. And I got a check form my doctor saying I over paid him (that means we are done with medical bills!!!) and so I got $50 back. Now I'm not very good with math but all of this alone comes up to...
$415.00 saved this month
All of this money is going to be put towards paying off our smallest credit card. I can't believe that in a month alone we have found, saved, and received this much extra. I'm not sure if it’s going to be this much every month but I'm exited to find out. But I'm making a bigger deposit into it that I would be. I'm also going to keep you all updated on little things you can do to help you save money as well.
The week that Quentin was gone (March 15-22) My mom and I did some MAJOR spring cleaning. We made this house look beautiful and my parents paid for everything and it only cost them $120. That was for a few frames, 2 rugs, a Curtin rod, food (while they were here) and glass for the frames. My house looks so different and we spent little to no money. I love the way it looks and feels.
