Good news and bad news...I haven't heard anything back from the health department yet, but I did say something to my boss about the all of the smoke. I told him my main concern was the cigar smoke---that I just couldn't take it. The other guy in the office, besides my boss, who smokes is trying to quit. My boss is out a lot too. So, at least this will cut down on a LOT of it. It's so nice not to smell that awful cigar today. :o)

There has been a law here in Canada for a long time that no one can smoke in workplaces. They moved that a few years ago to bars,. malls, theaters, etc.
All and all it is the right thing! Unborn children and young children do not have a choice but to take in the air around them.
I wish they would pass sensible laws down in some of the states for all of you as well!

Thanks for the support, girls. : ) Unfortunately, OSHA doesn't handle smoking issues...but they directed me to the state department of health. I am going to call in a bit. If that doesn't work...I will beg my co-workers to smoke in the warehouse. And if that fails...goodbye to this job.

So sorry to hear this hun, in the UK smoking is banned from all enclosed public places - why can't it be the same everywhere!!!!

I am going to have to call OSHA today and see if they can do something about this!!! I am a smoker---trying to quit, but I work in a smoking office where EVERYONE smokes. Worst of all there is the boss's son-in-law who literally puffs on CIGARS all day long, every day!! It's horrible!! I can't stand it anymore and I don't even want to think about what this is doing to my child. I sure hope I can do something about it. Oh, this is so terrible. I just want to cry. : (
