18-2-2009 - Missed my first appointment

Well, I was so excited to FINALLY get to go to the doctor yesterday. I took the whole day off. My appointment was at 1:00, and I made a lunch date with my friend to have lunch at 11:00. We had a nice lunch, and I left in plenty of time.....however, I did not know where I was going. Had I been leaving from home, I probably could have found it with little trouble---BUT I was leaving from a different side of town. I headed in the general direction and then called Shawn (he was going to go with me). I asked him what the quickest way to get to the doctor was from where I was at. He ended up telling me a really looonnnggg way---WAY out of my way. So, I ended up lost and in tears on the phone with the doctor's office...cancelling my appointment. I was SO upset. I really shouldn't have been angry with Shawn, but I was really pissed. Luckily they re-scheduled it for Monday, so I don't have to wait too long. That didn't change how upset I was though. I am going to use Mapquest this time. I feel like I'm just way behind everyone. It's just really frustrating and doesn't help that I'm extra-emotional. Oh well, I'll see my little one soon enough. Congratulations to the rest of you who know how your baby is doing. Can you tell I'm jealous? lol
